| Tried to enjoy season 1, thought it was mid. I don't mind excessive dialogue in anime but it was so boring in Kyokou Suiri. They didn't even try to present it in an interesting way. Entire episodes would just be conversations with a panning camera over a static screen with the only movements being lip flaps. The plot of season 1 was drawn out tbh and could have easily been concluded in half the time. Hopefully this season learns from the last one's mistakes. |

| Not sure if I will watch this, I was kinda interested in the chemistry between the characters at the start of S1 so I didn't mind them talking a lot that much, however later in the season especially at the end of it, I started getting bored and hoping it would just do something. |

| With the promo image being THAT I really REALLY hope there is more Kotoko x Kurou in this second season. I mean...the thing doesn't have to turn into a full blown romance anime but I mean really....in the latter part of season 1 I did not feel like the relationship between characters improved at all OR they did improve with minimal development and it was like "did I miss something that happened between them?" Really hope they don't drag out that one case for almost whole bloody half of the season either (like they did with season 1). I could've skipped a bunch of eps and still understood what was going on, that is never a good sign in my book.... |

| Gotta say this is probably one of my most anticipated anime, I really should give it a higher rating, but I think I left it as it because I was so interested in it. I always find myself loving kinda "mid-tier" anime that no one would ever say it's their favorite anime, but there's something about this that was just so much fun to watch. |

Course it's bait, because while the show may not be a 9 to everyone, it obviously isn't a 1 either. If you watched the show you probably have good honest complaints about it, but looking over your list you seemingly put anything even close to being mediocre to the worst thing you've ever seen. I gave it a 9 because I enjoyed it. I had like two other paragraphs written, but that's giving into the bait. The show was fun to watch, that's what it aimed to be, and it did that with flying colors. |

| just binged S1 in dub since it had been so long since i finished it in subs. :) i enjoyed it even more this time since i didn't have to deal with Crunchy's somewhat awkward subtitles for the first go-around. they definitely weren't the worst but i felt their overall writing capabilities were just a touch below average. /// yet, a S2 is in production which surprised me entirely. i felt the 1st season had that certain feel i've gotten in the 30+ past years of watching anime. 'pump and dump'. get one season of a well-made but not insanely amazing anime out there to increase the light novel and manga sales. S1 did a decent job blending so many genres, horror, gore, fables/mythology, supernatural, mystery, murder, police procedural, private detectives, diplomatic negotiations, and of course the insanely clumsy and fumbling romances Kuro went through and is presently 'plagued with'. :> heh. :> i think S2 should narrow its focus to fewer genres. keep it down to the romance, mythology/supernatural, diplomatic negotiations, and private detectives ideas. stay out of the cops' way and avoid murders entirely. /// the huge golden snake case and explaining away the dumped corpse in the snake's swamp was interesting. but did nothing to forward the man's death investigation or anything else. it just salved the snake's curiosity and discomfort. /// now Steel Lady Nanase... whew... the dead starlet, tragic but solved even before the specter showed up and still that poor police detective gets his face smashed in? of course intense impetus was needed to drive the exorcism efforts even harder. but what was the result? the detective is sill dead, nobody will ever find his killer because the specter was vanquished... yet the 'evil mastermind' escapes to plot further villainy with a great deal of experience and learning under their belt. this result left a bit of a foul taste in my mouth, a sort of Pyrrhic victory i'd say. |

| ay do. The second season will cover a lot more story material than s1 did. S1 was after all just the novel. And that does not work at all as an anime. I was really upset on how they handled that but oh wello. They seem to have changed a few things from the manga though. Like eg. there is a scene in the trailer for s2 that has never appeared in all 63 chapters of the manga. But if they do cover some of the later cases as well it will be very interesting. |

| The 1st season had some of the best dialogue between characters, since the new decade started. Lycoris Recoil and probably a few other shows as well. So knowing that this back and forth between the two protagonists is coming back, I can't help but smile. |
