Jesus Christ, that's a lot of goblins. At least they got a party of adventurers with combat abilities or that could've turned out for the worst.

Ye, it feels like this is the most serious episode in the show so far compared to the usual slice of life episodes. Ryouma also made decent use of his slimes.

It doesn't matchin with my imagination about goblins., why is this goblin scene too boring. I feel like this is a casual anime that doesn't want to get a big conflict.

Pretty interesting mission in the cave especially the way he uses his slime to kill the bats, mantis and goblins, the Sound Bomb is good for sure, and that big Goblin was a real threat but they still managed to clear the cave with nobody dying.
So he's going to leave the house to be independent? :/

Of course, there will be goblins in this show.
Though Ryouma and the rest of the adventures were able to deal with them.

And now Ryouma wants to go his own way and support himself.

A seemingly simple monster hunt turned in to so much more. Ryoma coming in clutch with his slime army. Which is a fair way to describe them since he has literal thousands of slimes now. Who'd have thought there'd be goblins out the wazoo. Ryoma handled the situation very well though all things considered. The other adventurers were right saying they might not have defeated all those goblins without him and his slimes. I didn't think we'd see even this much action in the show even if it was a small size. Ryoma did some slice and dice using those daggers.

I loved towards the end when they were riding back in the carriage and the other adventurers told Ryoma he deserved more recognition. People having prejudice thinking slimes are useless and don't recognize how important they can he when used right. I think that's a good message to tell and empathize with this show. How the people most overlooked can contribute when we give them a chance. Can't forget the little guys. Ryoma going out onto his own away from the Jamil family was a reasonable turn of events to think would happen but it will make me sad if he actually does.

I just noticed this show is getting a lot of negative reviews lol that's a shame, I actually think it's a good watch, Ryoma clutching the shit out of the monster hunt, what a madlad, even cleaned everyone later lmfao
This anime shit is addictive

Wow, they really show only 10% of manga and make it look very bad. It's sad they ruin isekais reputation like that. Everything that is done here doesn't make sence while in manga everything is done for a huge and long explained reason. What's even more funny the dugeon raid was totally messed up and different goblin fight has 0% of what original story is :DD

Fighting goblins with slimes? That's interesting... A TAD BIT. What is this: Goblin Slayer, Comfy Edition?

Other than the usual horde of childish drawings of low-grade monsters, Ryoma sure has 4.31 (and growing) tons of a slime army under his belt, that's unusually a lot, but for a slime tamer, this is normal as balls. Even with experimental powers such as a Sound Bomb to dissipate bats and their keen sense of ultrasonic hearing, I'd admit that is useful when the situation arises.

Of course, the core episode theme being monster subjugation, goblins are of no exception, and handled the exact same way, whether may it be the commander and/or its minions. Whatever it is, the mission is a job decently done for the adventurers and Ryoma.

Ryoma wants independence from the Jamil Family, but how he's gonna support himself?

On the other hand of the source material, quite a BIG change on content, but I'd guess to reflect the slice-of-life moments and keep it that way. I am not expecting a 1-to-1 adaptation, but this episode just kinda downplayed the serious tone of the manga/LN.

A few hobgoblins and a goblin is nothing for Ryoma the guy who controls 4310 slimes. Lol slimes these days are so opaf.

Looks like Ryoma will be opening a laundry business and leave the Jamil family. It will be kinda sad to see them apart but I'm sure they'll still be in contact very often.

well it just isn't good compared to the other source material. Like this episodes goblin hunt was greatly downplayed. The show isn't awful but I would recommend people either read the manga or ln

While I like the peacefulness of this anime, but killing every monster in the whole mountain? Those monsters are live peacefully until human decide to create a mine. Maybe they cut out the detail in which monsters are very violence and very aggresive and would go down to burn the village and rape people. Because minus Goblins, small rats, bats, and mantis (but not at this size) are basically just animal.

I don't understand ryoma at the end it clear that he can be independent. In the LN he had 40 medium gold coin equal to $500 a piece and it's stated the cost of living for a regular citizen starts at one large bronze coin equaling a $1 it not stated per day, week or month I'd guess day plus he received a reward of 700 small gold coin worth a $100 a piece so even if he did easy quest he could live comfortably. I think he needs protect from corrput nobles, merchants and adventurers

Umm...ok. That fight scene with the goblins was pretty meh. Though Ryoma's spells are really cool (that sound bomb is a banger lol), the animation and other things brought it down. One of them is Miya, and I am not against furries, but dear god she's really annoying. Also slimes fighting against goblins, this is NOT my cure from a Tensura hangover.

Also an interesting development with Ryoma leaving the house to become independent. I mean he did it for 3 years in the forest, why not in the city. Of course it's not a full-on breakup, they'll still have some connections but that means Eliaria will not be with Ryoma anymore in her house, I'm waiting for her begging next week.

The battle has bin scaled down by a lot compared to the light novel. In the novel it wasn't Ryouma who defeated the goblin commander but a separate party of higher leveled adventures. What a cheap way to make him look "cool".

There was a side story which was cut from this episode about a group of low ranked adventures. They followed Ryouma's party to take any spoils that where left behind. During the break that party got into trouble with another group and Ryouma stepped in to help them. These people came back again later in the novel. The same goes for some people Ryouma healed during this episode or the party of higher ranked adventures who defeated the goblin commander. A lot of corners get cut. The world building and Ryouma's character are really suffering because of it.

Decent episode as usual. Relaxing and fluffy way to spend 30 minutes. Ryoma’s decided to go his own way huh, wonder how this’ll work out. Based on sheer logic, I’d say it won’t.

Sundays just wouldnt be fun without my dose of Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko. He could of probably at least phrased his end argument a bit better, but I guess in the real world he was also a little socially awkard so hopefully his adoptive family wont take his words the wrong way!

Ah, another monsters hunt. But its not enough to became a troublesome for Ryouma. If he had more than 4000 slimes from every variety at his command, no way he could even lose by that dumbass 3D monsters that looks so awful. Not even mentioned his ability to control a great amount of magic attack too and another physical attacking skill that way too much for the boy like him. I mean, look at those slimes horde. Even a gigantic goblin commander couldn't even survived with that sudden assault. Lmao. Then that sounds bomb magic too. Damn! Yes, you were right, smuggy cat. Sasuga, Ryou-mya sama for all of you!

Ah, Ryouma was just too kind hearted and won't take any privilege of his good relations with that ducal family. He decided to live separate at his own foot. Oh, right, he really know what to do to enjoyed his life. Ryouma really wanted to be a great adventurer and an individual person, as he already decide his decision. What a dedicated boy. I am proud of you! But, could that family aggree?

an unattractive battle. yes because I've read the manga, so the anime feels bad in this episode. maybe the anime focuses more on Ryoma's daily life than his fighting action.
I hope the next episode will be better, it doesn't cut a lot of scenes like this episode.

Managing 4,320 slimes is not for everyone. The hunt in the mine was laborious but they managed to kill all the goblins.
Seeing slimes using weapons is cute strangeness.

Another more or less light-hearted episode.

From what I see in the comments, the fights are heavily down-played but from my perspective, that's fine for what they are trying to do with the anime.

I believe that the anime doesn't need to be as serious as the source material.

I just enjoy what I have and I don't think about what I don't have (and what-ifs)

Well goblin massacre aside that was a pretty good and wholesome episode once again.

Man, I don't want Ryoma to separate from the Jamil family but, I get where he is coming from he want to be able to support himself. Well I guess he could easily do that, money ain't gonna be no problem for him.

not really what I expected from this anime but it was okay I guess, Ryoma levelling up his slimes even defeating hobgoblins and goblin commanders. Seems he will be departing from the noble family and start living by supporting himself? We'll see what happens next episode.

Glad i'm not the only one that noticed it. It really surprised me that they decided to skip how he's gotten to the resolution of: "I'd like to be independent, I'm relying on them too much"

I feel like they just want to adapt as much as possible in these 12 episodes as it most likely won't get another season. So skipping it is ... understandable, just like skipping any info about the adventurer team and any other side character.
