I am aware that these resources work independently of group collaboration, but I feel I want to create a sense of community here. You can introduce yourself and say why you are here and just tell us about yourself in general.

My name is Ringtomb (トゥーム). I created this club to share my path to becoming a mangaka, and provide people the resources to do the same. I got into manga when my friend said he was going to make an anime club at our school. I was reading Tokyo Ghoul from my school library, and my brain jumped to the conclusion of making a manga sub department. I realized what a dumb idea that was, but went with it to see what would happen. The club never took off, but I got a sustained interest in manga that continues to grow to this day.

Hi, I'm Zoushu.
My interest in manga began with Dragon Ball Z pocket books, followed by other shonen series. I like drawing and fantasizing about made up things. So that's why I want to make comics/ manga. In particular there is a fantasy story I have been (lazily) planning over a very long period of time which I want to make reality so to speak.

I don't plan on making anything directly in Japanese. I am learning Japanese for other reasons, I want to be able to read and watch stuff that's in Japanese and I like language stuff in general.

The sole reason I made this MyAnimeList account was because I wanted to join another club that was also themed around making manga, but it's "dead" now. So I'm happy to have come across this club. I hope we can motivate and help each other to progress.

I am Aoi !
I started anime because I loved Howl's moving castle, and now I am a big anime fan, and I will orient myself into an art specialization. It would be cool if my projects can be published in Japan, but I am scared that my senarios are a little weird...I have a big plot idea, it's a kind of slice of life mystery manga with a little bit of fantasy.
Good luck to anyone here who want to write manga too !

hello (again)
i already introduce myself on discord but it seems i rarely go online after all..
so i'll do it again here-

i'm madi, i've always love drawing since forever and manga is one of the medium that inspire me a lot. what inspired me to make my own story was hunter x hunter. i love how the MC doesn't have ambitious big goal(like being the strongest or something) and yet still could brought us amazing story to tell.

i slowly building my own universe by collecting the character swith their background but i still struggle a lot on writing a good story plot for the upcoming timeline. and ofc having a big goal by being a pro in japan is the most ideal things to have, but guess publishing my work anywhere is fine, as long as it could reach people and makes a living for me.

and having a club that share the same interest to discuss and sharing about this stuff is quite helpful :) good luck for everyone!

I've wanted to become a mangaka since I was around 14 or so...lol but I lack the discipline to meet deadlines and draw entire chapters in one week like the pros do. xD

So I'm just content with doing webcomics.

My latest work is basically Angels of Death fanfiction lol

Using tones to set moods is probably the most challenging thing about drawing manga...aside from backgrounds. x_x My favorite things to draw are facial expressions, romantic poses, and hands. Just hands.

my least favorite things to draw are anything with a straight line

はじめまして。
I wanted to be a mangaka or cartoonist when I was younger, but I no longer really want to be one anymore. Dunno, I think I've just lost all motivation for drawing. I still want to join the club and maybe give some support for others though.
I grew up reading shoujo manga (especially magical girl manga) ever since I found Cardcaptor Sakura at my local library, so my art style is very much like that you might find in a typical shoujo. Been doodling here and there for at least 10 years. I've also started learning Japanese here and there for at least a year or two now iirc, don't really know much aside from recognizing kana and maybe some basic phrases though.

よろしくおねがいします!

Hello, my name is K J Whitten. But you can call me KJ if you'd like. I've been watching anime for a few years now but what I didn't realize until I got older is that I've been watching anime since I was a child. I didn't know what anime was until a friend told me about it. I also like to play videogames and I like anything with superheroes in it.

In reference to manga, I don't make any myself personally but I do own a small collection of manga. I joined the club to help support everyone however I can. I am currently writing my own lightnovel for some time now, which has been a fun experience so far.

hi. I'm not an avid manga reader. I work as an illustrator. I've burnt out and chose to draw a manga instead.
I was a huge fan of comics way back before they went to shit. it's why I learned to draw in the first place. I wanted to be a comic artist. thank god I didn't.
so right now I'm trying to find materials I'll need to create manga. and learn what I should've learnt ages ago. my love belongs to anime, but animating is not something I can do alone and would take forever to master and create. I can already draw somewhat however, even if I suck.

Hi all,
I'm an artist trying to make my own manga.
I'm pretty ok when it comes to the drawing part, but I've been struggling when it comes to writing, settling for a story and being productive.
There are many genres I'd like to do, as I love as much Heroic Fantasy than Sci-Fi, Mechas, or realistic thrillers.
I also can't decide if I go for a B&W classic manga, or panel by panel colored webcomic, I'm attracted by too many things!

You can't imagine how many "first pages" I drew before giving up and starting over.
I think it could help to exchange with others, to learn how to manage time and consistence

I'm Minty! I've always liked drawing and have had an interest in anime and manga since I was a kid. My first anime was Jojo, but I haven't started reading it yet. I'd love to write a manga-style webcomic, so here I am :)
"Writing off the thing you love like its just a hobby..?
Sounds like something only grown-ups would do, don't you think?
I don't know who taught you that... but the kids who couldn't press on were the kids who had no passion.
Isn't it natural to pour as much as you can into the things you love?"

"Maybe he's a genius. And I really am just a regular person.
I'm not special. I'll never become a genius. I can only get better through practice.
I guess... I'll just have to work until you cant tell the difference between me and a genius.
That's all."

Hey everyone! ^_^

I've always loved drawing & writing. I love both novels & graphic novels. Manga in particular has been the best quality graphic novels I have read (although I haven't read many). The reason why I have been finding it hard to get into it is because of the black & white aspect (shallow I know). But colour just changes everything so much!

And of course just like manga, Anime has been the best type of cartoons I have watched.

I plan to publish novels & also graphic novels/manga. I "published" my first short story on this site just for the purposes of receiving constructive criticism: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/- essentially each user must write a few reviews for other work so as to gain points & be able to publish their own. The more you review other work, the more reviews you will get yourself. It's a decent system so you will definitely receive some feedback.

My only problem at the moment is procrastination. It's the only thing stopping me from exploring these interests more T.T BUT I'm grateful for this club since it really helps motivate me!!

If you really want to publish your graphic novels/manga. The best place that I know of would be Line Webtoon. I think it's easier to get an audience there.
Be aware though that certain genres tend to get popular LOL. However, the key is really to post consistently. If you do that you are likely to get featured on the site.

Hello! I've recently bought a graphic tablet and wanted to draw since summer 2015!
To guide me on my way I decided to turn to manga, a format I like.
That's how I found myself here.

Hi! I'm Niyuri and I came across Ringtomb's signature advertisement and was interested on it. I actually have some stories written on my mind that I would like to come into pages, and I'd like to learn more about writing them since I'm just a big amateur. When it comes to drawing, I'm a big amateur aswell, so I came here to learn! Thanks for having me!
