Can someone tell me if there is any talking in texhnolyze because i'm about to start the 2nd episode and haven't heard any talking so far and if I have to watch another 20 episodes of no talking i'm going to drop the anime.

Its very slow paced. It is pretty good though I definitely see how a lot of people can be put off by it.
Don't let others ruin things for you. Even if a toxic fan pisses in your cereal, you could just get another bowl of cereal.

They're trying to do something different that's more unique and better suited to the themes of the show by building atmosphere and suspense.
There's definitely more dialogue in later episodes but the series stays true to this approach and that's a big part of why it's loved by its fans.

I happen to have Tex downloaded so i extracted the subs files and counted the words... it has 21792 over 22 episodes, so about 1k words per episode.

I hope you learned an important lesson that extrapolating from a single data point (=1 episode) is never a good idea.
Also you could have literally skimmed through a random episode to answer this quicker >_>'

Kids nowadays prefer reading a lot of words instead of cinematographic masterpieces that show dont tell :(

Yes, Tex is definitely one the more experimental anime and defnitely worth a watch, especially if u like a grim story that makes you think. It's the opposite of the spoon-feeding we so often see in axtion-shounen anime, you'll have to give it attention while watching else you'll miss out on a lot.

Although as far as I am concerned, not talking isn't a bad thing, one of my fav manga Blame! has a lot of chapters where no one speaks a word and it still manages to get across more than some other manga where it's just constant dialogue.

Can't comment specifically on this show as I've not seen it myself but I've seen enough examples in other works of fiction where there has been a covering up of terrible writing/direction by trying to claim that it was just too damn clever for your average Joe Soap to understand.

EDIT:- Thanks, I will :)

I had a hard time getting into it, I think that you should try until ep 10. I got engaged around 6 or 7 if I remember correctly. After that it becomes amazing.

It's a show not tell kind of Anime. If you don't want to have to use your brain a bit to put the pieces together or think critically then you'll find it boring and confusing

This sounds like an anime for me but let's see, I'm glad I found this thread lol
Ironically it's on my PtW list lol
Sucks it's not 100% silent, tho lol
Anyone knows more silent anime?!

there's not enough talking, for a psychological anime i'd rather them explain more about psychology like shinreigari did where they actually tell you about what's going on and incorporate science. I'm not a fan of visual story telling in anime like angels egg or cat soup type of thing, texhnolyze seems like it's using the same approach as angels egg where it's more visual and no dialogue. A few lines of talking isn't enough for me to keep watching, my plan to watch list is too big to watch shows that aren't very good

There's a lot of short films which have no dialogue like the house of small cubes and rain town. You'd probably like angels egg and cat soup too though. I saw a few anime like this already and I can't get into them

It's very very good, last few eps take make it a masterpiece. Totally worth it. I nearly dropped it 3 times in the first few eps. There's a few twists in there. Please don't drop it

Saw both Angel's Egg and House of Small Cubes years ago, I consider the latter one of my favorite anime movies of all time, I'll see about the other 2, thanks.
The first episode has some dialogue, did you miss it? I was somewhat disappointed lol
