| All I'm reading are about Laurent being gay. I'm guessing he's pansexual or bisexual since Abby said he fuck ms anything with two legs. Edamame's most likely straight though. I'm not a fan of the Edamura x Abby ship for some reason. They look like best friends or something to me. Also Edamame fucked up this episode. When that James Bond guy of the art world wad roasting them on national TV, I was just nodding and agreeing. Edamame is so full of himself and it pisses me off. Honestly, most of the characters piss me off. I don't even have a favorite amongst them. |

| I guess this will be Cynthia's arc. I liked her in the previous arcs, so I'm pretty on board. Unrelated but she seems enjoy scamming crappy men? I guess this episode also confirms Laurent is bi, otherwise Cynthia wouldn't tease him about it in the opening scene. Abby is uuh. Yeah, not really a fan of how the story handled her PTSD. |

| This episode had me laughing the most of anything I watched or read in years, the set up and delivery was just to perfect. First the hint that to Europeans all Asians are just Asian (which is not entirely untrue as it is proven that it is harder to distinguish between people if you are not used to the difference in facial features). Second the Chinese sushi chef talking about going home and third the dry delivery that Edamame should go back to Korea too. This joke was just masterfully misdirected and perfectly delivered. |

I thought this ep was hilarious and the dumb mistake edamame made, whilst not entirely his fault, made me laugh and facepalm lol Drunk Cynthia looks ADORRRRABLE ♡ I’m excited to see how this arc leads us to discover her backstory! I remember initially thinking she’ll be the b*tch of the series but noooope her persona swindled me haha I love that they didn’t just forget about Abbie’s past and brought it back up with Edamame sweetly asking if she’d like to return to Iraq. I wonder if this British dude will be as fun of an antagonist as the Ibrahim brothers. I absolutely loved them. |

However, i also have to say that Edamame's way of speaking french is by far the worst i have ever heard. If it wasn't for the subtitle I probably never would have guessed. Actually, it's even funnier because of the subtitles :D In english, even though he had a strong accent for sure, i could understand but in French.... Oh boy...oh did i mention i was french btw so, yeah. Do you know that meme saying "godzilla had a stroke when he read this", well that was me because i was laughing too much :) Kudos for trying though. |
| The 3rd arc of Great Pretender is here, the Snow of London! Where it surrounds the world of paintings and art appraisers this time around, quite the different kind of story compared to the drug world in the first arc and the gambling world in the second. Makoto tries to live that respectable life again by staying at a boarding house restaurant and working at a Japanese place run by Chinese folk (who funny enough thought Makoto was Korean lol). While he tries to get his job back, he meets an art appraiser and Yelp reviewer in his spare time, James Coleman who acts like trash towards the chef and restaurant for their bad sushi. Furthermore for Makoto, the place where he stays at is closing due to debt issues, so to help them out for what they've done for him, he borrows a painting that was hanging at the restaurant and tries to sell that to Coleman for 20,000 euros thinking the painting had no real value. Turns out that infact was worth 20 million euros and it was sold to the world's best art appraiser. Nothing in the world goes right for Makoto, even when having good intentions with his scamming lol. Cynthia from the moment she saw him looked like she knew him and hated his guts, so seeing her want to steal the 20 million painting back from him towards them sounds about right. Sounds fun though having a reverse heist given what they did. It was nice seeing Makoto and Abigail walk around France when she arrived and eat together, walk together and just feel comfortable around each other. Abigail's a normally very distant person but she got along much better with Makoto after the events of the previous arc. Nice progress there between the two. Last thing of note, loved that they hired actual French-speaking voice actors to speak the language for the French characters over there. The detail this show can go to sometimes to make the languages side of the show work is pretty damn impressive considering how lazy a lot of anime look in comparison when it comes to this aspect. |

| And the gang gets back together once again! Abby's hair looks great at that length. Her and Makoto's little mock date was cute. They might get together eventually. The writers push them together more and more the longer the show goes on. I love the setup for the rest of the arc. I the art gallery with Cynthia's blank expression after recognizing Coleman. Coleman's shock at finding the Snow in London at that price. It would be a lot better if they didn't play the upbeat opening theme during a tense or mysterious moment. It should be quieter, more solemn music. Or even no music at all. With the opening theme playing, it immediately tells me "Yes, Coleman is going to buy the painting." Despite the dialogue trying to make us think that he'll turn his nose up at it. It's not suspenseful at all. Appreciative that they hired native French speakers to play the cafe owners! French is such a pretty language. I was so disappointed when Laurent lost his French accent near the beginning of the first episode. |

| First episode I find extremely boring in this series. Pacing felt slower than usual and leaving the five or so minutes dedicated to Cynthia aside, this episode was mostly an excuse to show that Makoto, despite being a professional, can't do shit without almighty Laurent around. The Japanese scammer didn't do a proper art research beforehand? Come on... |
| Fun episode, Edamura and Abby walking around was adorable whether it was meant to tease something romantic or platonic, their relationship is just really enjoyable with how he got her to ease up over the last arc and I'm glad they are still leaning into that rather than just resetting the dynamic. This scenario for the arc itself doesn't seem as interesting to me as the previous 2, I guess its gonna go for more of a heist type tone going foreword. The topic of shipping for the entire first page was stupid as shit. Its a goofy comedy series don't get all pissy cause other people didn't interpret your weird shipping goggles the same way. Shipping is fine, being a weirdo about it aint. |

| So they are gonna scam him out of something legit that he got by his own wits bcoz he is a jerk? The reviewer did make scathing reviews of the restaurant and got them kicked off but he was right. Those asian scumbags couldn't tell the difference between Japanese and Korean, so how the fuck are these guys gonna make sushi? I can tell myself that when you visit a foreign country and taste a dish from your favorite cuisine and find that it sucks, then there is no worse feeling than insult. Besides, those scammers, especially Cynthia should really have known this painting could have been the real deal. Why the fuck did she let the buy happen when she knew he was a great reviewer of fine arts at first sight? That's definitely a sign that the reviewer is on to something big and she missed the signs. I am really just disappointed that Laurent and Cynthia who are supposed to be pro scammers didn't see the value behind the painting and didn't think of inspecting it further. And we are now going into Cynthia's arc. Hope it won't be a fucking disappointment like Abby's arc. And we are not seeing Mr.007 being a total dick so far. He is a jerk, but not a total dick so much that he doesn't deserve getting rewarded for his keen insight in the painting. Let's see if the later episodes go and explain if he really is totally dick. And yes, Laurent is bi, deal with it. |

| Interesting new case where it seems Cynthia this time will also be more involved due to an experience she had in the past. Ngl Abby looks hot with longer hair and her little "date" with Edamura was pretty cute to watch. Really wonder how their relationship will develope in the future.
