Too rushed. Too rushed.... What a shame, cause I was excited for this anime, and there were some solid moments of directing and tension building here and there.

In the end I gave it a 6.

Some wonderful scenes and great music but overall just rushed to all hell and as an anime only watcher I had no idea what was going on half the time due to massive amounts being skipped I assume.

this anime was an amazing art piece. I liked this way more than the manga, mainly cause the anime just really shows the utter blood bath that this story is and its art is super high tier 10/10

Now that I've finished the 2019 adaptation of Blade of the Immortal, I can now ask this: Why watch Blade of the Immortal (2008) when you can now watch Blade of the Immortal (2019).

They needed to nerf Makie to kill her. And now Manji starts a new journey with Rin's grand grand daughter

Spanish translation:
Tuvieron que nerfear a Makie para matarla. Y ahora Manji comienza un nuevo viaje con la tatara tatara nieta de Rin.

I’ve gotta say, some parts of this episode were actually a masterpiece. I don’t think they needed to show the future, but the parts with Manji, Anotsu, and Rin at the boat were REALLY well done. That’s not enough to save this shit though, lol. 3/10, just a tad bit better than the 2008 version

I am questioning the critical thinking and ability to pay attention for many people in this thread. Edo has been named Tokyo (Manji seems to call it Edo still, while the old lady names it Tokyo), Kagehisa died in 1653, and Edo was renamed in the Meiji period in 1868, so it's been at MINIMUM 215 years since the time skip.
@Slendermang Noo, the action takes place in 1782, since Rin hires Manji, there is no way that Anotsu will die in 1653 :/
