Did they really die? I was thinking that would happen from the preview, but wow. Maybe I should wait.

A shocking event occurred in this episode. Keita and co mount a rescue of Hinoki by going to the NEO HQ with their neuronoids. Turns out bad as both mechas are pretty much brought down half way through the base. The most shocking was Keada contracting Algernon at the end then double suicide with her newlywed husband by unleashing a synops attack close rangem

Interesting tidbit is that there is manga based off this and again both Sho and Keade meet a similar fate but not as depressing as what occurred in the episode.

What a bitch Kaede is. I guess all those prior betrayals she did were just foreshadowing this. I had a bad feeling about her from the moment she was introduced.

Kaede didn't betray anyone, at least not consciously. She got taken over by Algernon. I thought that was obvious.

By the way, Heichin from the earlier episodes also didn't consciously turn on the team.
