I wonder how some of these people would react if they watched a late 80s-early 90s OVA? lol
You could almost pick any random OVA from that era and its bound to really offend some of these people crying about fanservice every chance they get when a new series comes out.
I can imagine the overreaction.
unless its in japan where the complaining is coming from and can actually affect the series I don't give a dick about some weebs crying about fanservice for the upteenth time in a anime. lol
I remember starz used to air anime but I forget which ones. I only remember catching the metropolis movie on there one day in the early or mid 00s now.
its sad how there is even less anime on american TV now than in the 00s.
Yea I think it was anime unleashed that introduced me to not only gad guard but stuff like Vandread, ROD, Gungrave, Boogiepop Phantom and one I would constantly watch was Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. Stuff didn't air on cartoon network the only other channel still to this day in america that will air some series not butchered.
don't forget the mai otome OVAs and slfr. those probably count as obscure along with the likes of gad guard and arcade gamer fubuki.
its sad but even the old ROD OVA and TV series might count as obscure now since its fallen out of constant discussions among western anime fans.
