On Quintessential Quintuplets, S1E11 !!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
_____________
Current Rankings:

1. Ichika
This episode only reinforced beliefs I established in previous analyses, securing her position in first place. This is mostly surrounding her actions in relation to campfire dance where, in as much as she desires to fulfill her romantic desires and take Uesugi’s hand, she voluntarily sacrifices the opportunity for the sake of Miku’s own interest. She then goes on to sacrifice her opportunity to dance with Uesugi during a private campfire when she learns about the legend that those who partake seal their fate as a lifelong couple. Even if it’s a simple legend, Ichika considers how much this dance may mean to Miku, and even though she would be dancing with Uesugi in a private and unofficial campfire, she decides to reject it. Her emotional depth in this action shines as she’s willing to empathize with her sisters and her own opportunities away from them, without hesitance. It expresses a great deal of humility and love/care, as aforementioned. Her playfulness also appears in this episode in a more subtle manner, through her teasing comments when inviting him to dance, another plus to her attractiveness.

2. Miku
I’d say my romantic interest toward Miku has unfortunately turned more into a friendly interest which is worsened with her relatability in this episode no longer being a source of attraction as it is a source of pity. I’ve noticed that I don’t really see the strengths of the introverted archetype really being emphasized apart from a few small moments where we see her passivity and receptiveness as mentioned in previous analyses but not really a lot of emotional depth or any real character development. It made her character consistent but also started to make her a lot less interesting to follow, leading to her drop in the rankings. This episode makes an attempt to make Miku and Uesugi have a nice moment with one another when they’re both hiding in the igloo, however, it just turns into Uesugi giving Miku a motivational pep talk and nothing else. It’s cute and heartwarming to see that Miku develops more confidence in herself afterward, but because the reason for her development is Uesugi’s talk and not herself, it creates this image of over-reliance; a lack of independence. One could argue that it again shows her receptiveness and passivity, but once again, it doesn’t paint these traits in an attractive light. In fact, everyone else is becoming more passive to him so it’s becoming a whole lot less of a big deal. She still keeps points for keeping being passive and receptive for the longest time though as the lack of such traits was unattractive for the initial introductions of the rest of the quintuplets. At this rate, however, I’d expect her rank to drop soon.

3. Nino
Nino only chased after her beloved Kintaro in this episode so, I’d say, she didn’t have enough involvement to change her rankings. My interest in her softer side secures her position at number three.

4. Yotsuba
Yotsuba wasn’t really involved either, only encouraging Uesugi to ski.

5. Itsuki
Itsuki wasn’t really involved either, only really tending to her sister’s needs. She didn’t really have a chance to redeem her past ranking. I will hold it against the writers if they do not at least attempt to further develop her character.

Extra Notes:
The way I see it, the writers are really doing Itsuki and Yotsuba dirty. I hope to see more moments with them in future.

Seriously. This wasn't the best episode but at least the fire into the locked building didn't turn into a huge one as i was afraid of. Also, do you want to learn how to ski, Futaro? Watch South Park: pizza, french fries, pizza, french fries...

So this is the Studio Shaft episode. Nice!

Some bonding moments Ichika, and then some with Miku.

I wonder when they'll develop Itsuki. Nino is ahead of her even though I like her less.

Futaro starting to feel the sensation of being sandwhiched between thighs as he was trying to lift Ichika up to the alarm sensor, only to say Ichika was heavy even though she said to not call her heavy lol. Ichika is starting to get more gigs in her acting career and Futaro finally pays attention to her when she said she might quit school. Futaro does envy her that she has options and says it will be a good experience for her either way. Ichika does call off the dance, but offers Futaro to dance around the campfire they made was sweet. However, Futaro mentions the campfire legend and Ichika gets worried since she knows the campfire is important to Miku and she never knew about the legend. Unfortunately, Ichika and Futaro get in trouble while Itsuki and Miku didn't fully believe their side of the story of being locked in.

Some skiing action in this episode, and Yotsuba pretending she doesn't know what Futaro was talking about regarding checking if anyone was left in the warehouse before locking the door LOL. Ichika recovers from a slight cold as Itsuki took care of her while Itsuki doesn't feel like she can face Futaro. Yotsuba commenting how Miku and Futaro refuse to learn what she is teaching them only for Futaro to expressing the same feelings when he tried to tutor the girls was hilarious and prefect.

Futaro running away from Nino after she noticed the fallen bandage and then seeing Yotsuba around the corner trying to find someone to tag was quite the dizzying situation for Futaro until Miku pulled him into a secret igloo. Futaro's advice on not only being equal, but fair to her sisters motivated Miku, ending with Miku making a call to Ichika. good stuff.

Man I can’t believe this ends next week, Spring 2019 is almost here!.. feels like yesterday lol.

Man I forgot how hard they cooked with the Ichika stuff at the start of this episode, if she wasn’t already in the harem she definitely is now, they made extra sure those scenes were handled with care, and it warms my heart that so many folks from 2019 grew to love Ichika, I just wonder how many kept her as their favorite to the end, I can say I did at least lol.

And the skiing stuff was also great, it is kinda odd they had a test of courage in a summertime looking forest but right next to it is a ski slope, but the quints are just distracting enough to make me not care lol. And besides the fun with Yotsuba and the brief chase with Nino, this was one for Miku, and man I can still absolutely say she ties with Ichika for best girl for me, both of them just shined so bright in this episode. And I’m so upset I just have one episode left of Season 1, I was really loving being back in Winter 2019, such good times back then, but I gotta finish this sometime don’t I lol.
