They have to save Phil and the others first, and in one year I think Norman's plan will already be carried out, so they have to make it fast

So they have somewhat reached a compromise. It’s good that Emma and Ray don’t want Norman taking on everything by himself.

I liked how it was all handled. I mean, yeah, Emma is a naive character, but I like the fact she kept her disagreement to herself because she didn't wanted to create chaos and she didn't had any other better option. That was really, unexpectedly, mature of her lol And they reached a compromise.
Norman looks so so so much more adult than they tho. Not just his personality, as I think he was always quite like that, but his appearence. It is kinda creepy.
So, a new adventure begins! I wonder how is everything going to go down, maybe in the future Emma and Norman will find themselves in different sides, who knows :s

I can totally see that happening. Not just appearence-wise but also his personality. :O

I kinda get what Emma wants considering her selfless personality. A bit naive yes and more of a pipe dream but it's the type of character she is.

I'm still on Norman's side about this though.

I'm happy that we have a character like Emma to counterbalance all the darkness and the edginess in this story. Think: if it weren't for her, Ray would be dead by now (and probably all the Grace Field children would follow suit).

Dude, if it wasn't because of her, everything would never be started. They will never think of bringing most of the children or even they will never think of escaping.

I found Emma's character prior to this chapter to be more mature. Even though she is as naive as before and I think that's a good balance. Ray hasn't done anything significant in regards of Norman's and Emma's clash, of course there might be a major conflict inside Ray's head because he is basically Half-Emma and Half-Norman.

"It's okay. You don't have to be a god."

Pacifism vs genocide, which of the two shall prevail? Although it looks like it's getting predictable, I'm expecting some twists here and there, no matter the outcome, I mean, the first arc was pretty much that way right?

Why is that demon lord/demon leader name is still not specified,if Emma and ray meet him they might not forge a new promise as he will be the biggest threat.

Interesting Emma trying to find a way to solve this to avoid genocide. Its funny how Ray hasn t say a word about it at whole conversation. Well let Emma find her way to solve this problem If she can make coexist between humans and Demons possible I would gladly agree with it.I still siding with Norman and I still think Emma is a fool.

While Emma is a fool, her intentions are good and I hope she manage to find a way outside Norman plan and bring peace to Human and Demon.

While I side with Norman plan I am not against Emma idea either if she has possible means to bring coexist between Demons amd Humans. I hope Emma don t bring sentimental garbage into this and lead them all to a quick death.

I am happy too see Norman still hasn t change his plan and will go through with it.

Now I Fine If Norman idea or Emma idea become a succesful as long as they have possible and realistic means to solve this I fine either way.

Norman doesn't looks like he agrees with Emma, but Emma does have a way to make her ideal happen, even though it's almost impossible. Gonna be interesting to see what happens next

I know it's part of her character an all. And she's young. But is anyone else getting immensely annoyed with Emma? And like I said. I see the relevance of it. It's just her character and she's actually benefited the story alot. But damn she can get annoying sometimes lol.

Without Emma the story would be boring tho. Two edgy dudes trying to escape the demon world sounds gay to me.

Emma's solution is interesting but it does pose some issues. Sonju is a demon who doesn't have to eat humans but wants to. In fact I'm pretty sure he said he wants to go to the human world so I'm sure we'll see him again soon. So Emma needs to find a way to make sure the demon can't follow them nor make a new entry into the human world. But at least we can still meet the Ultimate Demon while the plot move forward.

Glad Norman stuck to his plan. It really shows his development in the story. I was a little worried we'd have a civil war situation between Emma and Norman but thankfully we avoided that. Also that line "You don't have to be a god" was pretty moving. Emma really is a great balance to the group like many of you said. If it wasn't for her, they would have gone with Ray's plan for the best odds of survival.

Speaking of Ray, I wonder what's going on in his head right now.

As someone whose a huge fan of Seraph of the End, this is accurate. It's a great anime/manga series where everyone has some edge to them and twisted morals. I don't ship the main two guys but their bond is great.

I know that realistically Norman's plan makes a lot more sense than Emma's plan but I find myself siding with Emma. Not for the same reasons as Emma either. Norman is brilliant. He created the plan that got the cattle children out. But I fear that now hatred will cloud his judgement and will cause his tragic end...

Aaah figured that Emma would have her way, but it will surely be interesting to see how her and Normans ideals clash.

This is the stupidest shit. I wish this were a more realistic manga, where her plans fail and she gets a slap of reality. Faced with a creature that essentially mimicks the forms of humans and eats humans by nature, and her response is "oh let's reason with them, everything is gonna be gucci".

I could understand if it were some cultural problem with the demons, but this is a problem with their very nature. Her logic is justin trudeau tier "if you kill your enemy, they win" nonsense.

Hope they don't stay away from Norman too long. There might be no saving him. Emma's theme song in the anime is awesome, nice to listen to it while reading these chapters.

And so the story continues with idealism vs hm, wasn't there one Junji Ito story where the characters decided they'd have to kill all the monsters... something about "the ocean is scary." It didn't go so well for them and also managed to hint a Devilman situation where roughly equal fighting power clashes in one version.

I think it's because if the demons get her blood they will remain human-like despite Norman's plan to destroy all factories. This will give them an opportunity to continue attacking humans.

As crazy her plan sounds, Norman posed her a challenge to do everything she can to hold up her end of the bargain so he can reconsider taking the genocide route. When it comes to everything else, Norman's the chillest guy but what he's orchestrating is too big to fundamentally change without reason.

What nonsense! I didn't enjoy this chapter. I thought Emma is one of the top intelligent kids at Grace Field? Guess not! Look at how she wants to reason with demons! Her plan is like trying to tame a crocodile not to eat meat. I hope one day something's got to dissuade her of her conviction. How about a scene where a demon gnawed on her friend? That'll teach her a lesson!

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

This is the most retarded thing I've even seen in my life. Single-handedly lowered the score for this series from a 9 to a 7 for me. I don't understand how Emma became like this in this arc. She lost like 70 IQ points in a matter of minutes.
