Unusual art style but it's quite ...unique. Rather, I think this show has a distinctive main girl working in a business that can be tough.

I'm curious to see what else we'll see in her life. A lot of narratives from this even for a short. (episodes are like 3-4 minutes).

Not bad, just not really something I think I want to watch 11 more episodes of lol

This was pretty amusing for a short.

It seems like after the 3-4 mins of content are done, the rest of the episode will be filled up with an interview from that particular episode's director and VA for Ekoda-chan (Aided by whom I'm assuming to be the original director or mangaka of the original series)

I doubt I'll stick around for that whole Q and A thing again (This week's VA was pretty cute though lol) so I'll more than likely only stay for the episode itself which like I said was pretty amusing this week....I like this Ekoda chick already xD

(Also I can TOTALLY relate to forgetting people's names like minutes after meeting them lol, I did that shit yesterday even xD)

This was pretty nice, but I wasn't really interested in the interview afterwards.

Like everyone else, I enjoyed the animated segment, but Q&As bore me to tears. I'll just tune in for the first bit each week.

Wanna-be? This was around long before PTE. I'm not really backing this show or saying its good either (because its not imo), but the original version of this came out back in 2011 in the yuruani programming bloc...which was three years before the PTE manga even came out, let alone the PTE anime this past year. Plus this ones manga came out starting back in 2005. So yeah, this has seniority of being "first".

Of course you are right, this one has roots long before PTE. Yet, for this season, this is exactly the show that takes place Pop Team Epic would.

Ah, I can see what you mean now. The animation and art is somewhat comparable in places. PTE had more out-there and better gags though. It may sound crazy, but this version seems to actually be more censored and toned-down than the original 2011 version was (the 2011 version is only available raw - never has and probably never will get subbed).

eh, that's it? well, the short felt like nothing. the stories weren't really interesting or anything. but giving it a shot is still reasonable

I can have some fun with this. lol The interview at the end feels longer that necessary so that may be something I skip from time to time.

my grade was 5 because I was expecting a 24-minute anime, but that was not the case. I'm going to collect because I liked those 3-4 minutes of animation

The director said himself that the shorts he worked on tended to not do well. Im surprised he hasn't seen the pattern yet.

The animated bit was interesting. I followed along with the director's bit, but I really didn't care to watch the VA's interview. It is a good opportunity to see into the minds of many directors.

It's nothing like Pop Team Epic. It's relatable and it's funny.

Okay, that was interesting.
I liked the different art style and loved the dancing butt naked animations lolololol
The interview was quite long, they should cut it a little bit.
Gonna stick with it for sure haha

I really liked this. I imagine a lot of younger anime fans are going to have a bit of trouble relating or finding the humor. Not sure if I would of liked it during my younger years.

It's pretty nice actually. It reminds me the kind of comic you see on newspaper/magazine. The humour also clearly targets to young adults (20-35) with more social experience. Seriously anime needs more things like that rather than forever cross-referencing its own over-used tropes.

I'm gonna give it a few more weeks. I'm not interested in a show that is 90% production interviews, but with each episode having a different team working on it, I am curious to see what the next few episodes look like.

The art wasn't my thing, but the promotional poster implies it isn't just a dsifferent director, but different artists each time too, so there is that.

Ekoda starts well, kind of reminds me of Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Even for a 4-koma adaptation it was kind of short, a shame. Bundling interviews with it somehow feels dishonest or desperate. Probably something the J-audience enjoys though.

That was... actually enjoyable. Akitaro Daichi has done a good job on this one. He nearly adapted the manga 1:1 but still gave it his own spin by effectively using rapid cuts and these fun dance transititions. It just a had really good flow to it. Now I am really looking forward how the other directors will fare. Takahashi's and Kobayashi's episodes are obviously the ones I am most excited for.

Oh, I liked the interview part as well. Daichi is a fun dude.

Fun short anime with a unique style, optional interview at the end if you're interested in that kind of thing. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

This was a pleasant ride for me because I spent most of my youth watching their shows back then. It is nice to see them talking like this, I'm always interested in interviews with directors and animators. Not sure about seiyuus tho, I don't even know who that girl is. Apparently there will be different seiyuu each episode as well, I'm hoping to see some familiar faces

I came here out of curiosity & interest because Daichi worked on the 1st episode so I was happily surprised to get an interview right after the episode. But it sounds like people here don't even know about him...

About the episode, nothing to say. The kind of character the heroine is is enough for me to stick with the show.

3/5 The drawing segment was a nice addition too.

@Macechan Thanks for the opinion (I never read it before).

@Treyvalyan Each episode consists in a well-known director doing what he wants from the manga. I wonder how you can already know that their work is nothing more than "crap" after watching o nly Daichi's segment.

i'd enjoy this a lot more if it there was more of a balance between the interview and the animated segment bc the anime itself was so short i couldn't even get into the interview. they were talking about the main character's lifestyle and all that but since i didn't read the manga that really didn't spark anything for me

How do I even rate this? The short itself didn't really resonate with me - I didn't like the main character very much. However, the opportunity to see how 12 different directors handle the rare josei genre AND get a ton of behind the scenes content about it??? My inner animation loves it.

Nice idea for a series, although such short segments don't warrant lengthy interviews even from directors whose works I really like (and this series has a whole dream team working on it). Gotta see what they do with the artstyles though.
