That guy invited main guy in to tend the scar.

100 shots in 100 days?! Main guy refused again about doing Japanese archery.

Main guy thinking about that long hair guy, and the two friends worried about him.

Introduction and trying with holding the bow for the beginners. Uchiyama-san's character is annoyed.

Main guy went to find that long hair guy, who still welcomed him after he ran away from him the night before.

No experience in competition, so kind of impossible for team. Megane guy suggesting to get main guy to join the team, but Uchiyama-san's character not approve of him.

10 months ago... the competition that made him suddenly not able to shot. He originally had confidence and the practice shots were perfect. He cannot hear his sound of archery (tsurune).

Not knowing his own shot... So that long hair guy experienced before. He suggested to do archery with others to recover from his problem.

So that's what he meant by "not exist", he died a year ago. Hah?! It was another guy who died?

He gave main guy the final shot, and made him realize he wants to do archery. That long hair guy also continue doing archery.

Uchiyama-san isn't in this. The guy you mentioned was voiced by Kaito Ishikawa i.e HQ Kageyama's voice actor.

but I can't control myself, I'm shipping Minato with Masaki already, how old is Masaki? I'm going to jail to ship this?

I heard from a light novel reader that Masaki is 23, and remember Minato just started high school, so...
That said, pixiv already has lewds of the two of them together

I like it even more with the age-gap. The more reason why Masaki could win a spot on my list of husbandos favorite characters. He does behave like an old man and I love him. I hope he coaches the boys or something. I need more MasaxMinato moments.

Hello fellow readers, here's a question I've been wanting to ask.

How many episodes will Tsurune have?

I highly doubt it's going to end within 2018 itself but I just need to know just in case. ^_^

Tsurune has five BD/DVD listed. I'd say 13-14 episodes maybe.

Man, as usual with KyoAni's dramas, everything is falling in place very slowly. I remember not being particularly thrilled with neither Hibike or Hyouka in the first episodes, but now they're both favorites of mine. And with this episode, a lot of subtle details are arising to the surface.

Right now, I thing the most interesting character is Seiya. The scene with the violin OST was probably my favorite scene this far in the season, but it really makes you wonder: Was Seiya being an asshole, or was he being harsh out of love? It seems they're the characters that have known each other for the longest (That's what the ED seems to imply) so they really must know a lot about each other, and I would believe Seiya was trying to shake things up for Minato for him to confront the past. Still, a pretty low move. And I don't know what Seiya meant by atonement, but I'm pretty sure they both hold onto some baggage about the other.

And about Takigawa (Who's obviously best boy), I found pretty interesting what he said about not being someone who exists in Minato's real life. I think what he meant (as he's actually not a ghost, and he DID say that) was that Minato is dealing with this problem by escaping to that hill and to Takigawa, someone that he just recently met. Though that's totally a valid way to deal with one's problems, Takigawa doesn't really takes part in Minato's life outside of that shooting range on the hill, and he might have been implying that he needed to deal with the true root of his problems (he should reconcile with Seiya, for a start). But for now, venting with a stranger in the top of a hill seems to be helping, as he seemed to find the resolution at last to continue with archery, in spite of not being cured just yet.

So yeah, the fact that this episode made me think of all that, and that it was all told through the subtlety of storytelling that only KyoAni does best, does gives me hope about this ending off being one of the best shows this season, and hopefully, one of the best KyoAni's shows. It's still uncertain, and I don't think it'll surpass my KyoAni's favorites, but at least it's demonstrated it can go places.

Beautiful animation as always.

I really thought that guy was ghost they sure got me there, even Minato was embarrassed to how wrong he was.

I'm expecting a lot from this series and I know it won't disappoint.

Really enjoyed this episode a lot, especially the ghost thing and how they put a lot of thought it everything around it. When it was first introduced that the person was "dead" I was like, what, a ghost? But the friend picked up the owl feather from the mcs clothes earlier? It can't be a ghost owl, they incorporated really nice subtle hints early on. Really well written

I completely fell for the ghost bait lmao.

We know more about Minato's reasons to leave archery. It was a bit better than the first episode.

shit, that hanzo guy is cute.

I walked around Uji before (place where Hibike is based) and I honestly thought they based this one there too for scenery, but it seems that the locations are just fairly similar. Nonetheless, I really feel like KyoAni does their background renditions so well, they really do feel like a place lived from.

Everything about this show is gorgeous. KyoAni did again such a beautiful job. So much care and love in the animation. Interesting story and characters and beautiful score. This show totally flew under the radar but I am already in love with it after two episodes.

L M A OOOOOOOOOOO I totally thought he was a ghost

This anime is beautiful. The subtleties are really great. Also I love how there’s a great balance of everyone, of girls, parents, a teacher even. The character development is really great and natural, I love it. Minato doesn’t have some huge revelation that feels out of place everything is just so.......for a lack of better word nuanced. I also feel like the drama is very well-balanced & not tiring. And the OST is so good!!

Everyone: "Oh my god, glad he is not a ghost. I got ghost baited"
Me: "Why this dude crying in this mans chest. Why are you crying? Stop crying in his chest whom you only met recently"

I'll be honest, there were signs that hinted at this.....situation. But, I didnt even know Masa's name. I didnt know what Minato was doing when he went to that studio cuz i didnt know it was the same one where he met Masa. Im over here like questioning why the fuck he is crying in this dudes chest. Then it clicks after Masa mentions some other persons name and how someone else is a scatterbrain.
I was not on the same page as yall.

Definitely better than the first episode. The atmosphere was really nice in this one.

That misunderstanding was hilarious. Mintano thought Masaki was a ghost. :P

After 2 episodes, this show was really circling the drain. The ghost fake-out was good and has saved this show (for now). Seiya's and Kyohei's obsessions with Minato are annoying, and Minato's angst is obnoxious. Hopefully that shit is over and we can move forward.
