When it comes to battles and wars, there's definitely some personal conflicts between certain characters.

It seems now, the Mongols still has a great chance to mount an attack against the castle. A pretty thrilling episode considering the psychological context especially with a betrayer on the loose. Hard to trust anyone these days.

Its good that Kuchii understands that the castle will be necessary in the fight both for the terrain and the morale advantage. If anything the mongols sure are creative with their tactics. But Shiraishi's actions really was surprising considering his personality. The murder will sure affect the relations between the two factions though. The duet between Teruhi and Kano though was cute and calming. Looks like the mongols will be laying siege to the castle next episode thanks to the traitor's info.

I hope that Traitor-san meets a painful death during the siege.

I honestly don't hope that Shiraishi will get killed too soon, the current events would allow some interesting character development.

Obusuma deserved to die like that but the woman didn't deserved it. Didn't expect for Shiraishi to betray his side for the Mongols, I thought he was an honorable man who didn't want sell his soul. I guess there is no turning back now, I hope he will get his.

Have a weird feeling that traitor will redeem himself towards the end of the series.

Dammit man, Shiraishi sitting there, listening intently to all of those specious benefits if he were to side with and aid the Mongols, and when he went to walk away, I was like ‘Hell yes, we’ve got ourselves a bushido master, right here!’

But alas, no... He’s as crooked as the first guy. Probably more so, in fact, with how he murders the warrior woman, and plants her blade to make it seem like she probably killed the man in self defense.

Then, he does one further, by going and professing all to the Mongols; Holy schnikes did I want to choke a bitch. But, at least their leader seems to be suspicious about the murder scene. I can only hope Kuchii too realizes that Shiraishi was the turncoat. And, that he gets his just desserts!

This sure was interesting turn of events. I didn't expect Shiraishi to do that, I had better opinion of him. Still, I guess it's realistic that person you least expect it to will become traitor. In the end many sieges in history were lost by defenders due to traitors and their greed, but let's hope this will not be one of them, and that our MC and commander of Toarai with his suspicions will save the day.

Damn it Shiraishi!! You have sold your soul!!

So much talk about saving yours and rejecting the scumbag's offer but then, you killed the poor woman, took the mongol badge and joined them anyways. You're just as miserable as the guy you killed. Man, that really pissed me off.

Well, now the mongols know how to break into the castle and it also seems it'll take a while until the help comes to the island.

Now, I'm looking forward to seeing how Kuchii and co. will manage to protect the castle and the civilians.
