How great is the opening?

The first time I heard the OP while watching episode 2, I didn't really understand what was going on and I actually thought it wasn't the opening - I know it is, now.

Anyways, I just found the TV version of the opening on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVwnNz7e5Fs) and I think it's absolutely amazing and fits the show perfectly. I have to say that the trumpets are the best part and the singer's voice is beautiful! So, what do you think of it?

About that ED tho... YEEEESSS!! I've listened non-stop to that chanson de francaise. it's so catchy, even catch-ier than the original version!

The ending theme is really good, but the opening i think is amazing and one of the best in a while.

The opening makes me a feel a mix of nostalgia and inspiration. It's definitely one of the best in a while

I agree as the ED for this kind of feels like Girl's Last Tour with that style. That might be just me though.
