This was a intense episode if I ever saw one. But man was it bleak I mean I knew there was a reason it was utterly miserable but I never thought it was the stuff that happened in this episode in question. First I need to address the elephant of the deaths of Miko, the rapper gang and then Miki, the last whom I think had the most vicious out of all them combined. Glad that Miko patched things with Miki she confessed to her that she loved her, it’s really a shame that moment alone didn’t last long but I know Miko died without any hard feelings towards a girl who at this point in the show wanted to better than her and was driven by her own hatred and yet the former never had any ill feelings towards the latter at all which makes her strong as a character.

Speaking of which I love that she gave a speech online about Akira not being what Ryo described him as, some people loved it and we got to see a couple of peeps online coming out as Devilmen as well but we also got others who were ultimately disgusted with this and just kept calling her a witch and so on and so forth. Which makes things even worse when Miki got killed in again got killed in such a vicious way and the heartless people even had her head on a spike and paraded around with it. Which of course angers Akira and he ultimately destroys them in a fiery blaze.

It really did hurt to watch this episode as it was just so miserable and heart wrenching as a whole because there was just no positive things happening to the main characters at all. Though that after credits scene with Akira and Miki on the motorcycle was bittersweet but other than that it was just grim which is the whole point of the show but damn it was relentless in what it did.

Lot of really bad stuff happened and it was very sad, but so good to watch. Really depressive and really cool.

WHAT THE FUCK!!!! What the fuck was that?!?! Damn that was fucked up!!!!

I know I've seen Devilman Crybaby before... A couple of times. I"m pretty sure I saw it when it first came out on Netflix, then rewatched it at least once after I finished it the first time. But damn, I do not remember ANY of that ending!!! That was so fucked up!!!

It's been so long since I last watched Devilman Crybaby that I can't really remember why I liked it in the first place other than I know for sure that I liked it. Definitely dig all the craziness and definitely like the animation (Science SARU's work is uniquely interesting in it's simplicity and boldness), but i feel like I missed how complex this story is. Everything before this episode matched up pretty well to what I vaguely remember happening (expect for Taro eating his Mom. That shit did catch me off guard); but the wanton slaughter of Miki and everyone else.... I feel like I'm seeing it for the first time even though I know I'm not.

This is some powerful stuff. WAY more than I originally gave it credit for.

This was probably one of the most difficult episodes I've watched in any anime—not just because of the violence or the brutal deaths of characters we've known from the start, but because of the overwhelming nihilism. Humans are unable to rise above their base desires. Both Miki and Akira strive to appeal to people's better nature, urging them to look beyond their prejudices and find peace, but it's all in vain.

Sasuga Miki. Sasu fucking uga Rap Gang dudes.

Go the fucking hell, you devils, demons, you fucking mortals.

true as fuck ngl. Some aspects of this anime are truly underwhelming but I am interested to see how the ending turns out.

At least you can see what the fuck is happening by the time everyone dies. Unless this show had absolutely no budget I cannot understand why it went from showing everything early on to making entire episodes so dark you're entirely reliant on sound to figure out what the fuck is even going on. Its not that I feel robbed of some awesome action or anything but this show entirely gave up on showing anything other than crappy gun effects after the first few episodes.

Its interesting that this show was able to go for the scene that was too much for the Berserk anime. Wyald was cut entirely but the scene in the manga after Guts leaves the farm and Wyald annihilates the family there is basically what happens here to Miki but without being a shadow play like Devilman does. You just see everyone cut up on stakes and its fucked.

God that ending scene left me speechless. One of the most brutal deaths I have ever seen in anime, for a very likable character too. I really hope at the least Ryou dies, literally all of this is his fault. This whole situation really reminds me of Shiki, starting from a reasonable enough death (Chizuru Kirishiki in Shiki's case, the photographer in Devilman's case) but quickly devolves into needless and irrational killing.

Very dark episode, and not only because of its visuals. Those people became even madder and more destructive than they had been in the previous episodes.

So many characters died in horrible, dramatic ways. I hoped to see at least Miki survive, be it as a human or a demon, but her head on a spike in front of her family's home set on fire was enough as the final evidence that it won't happen. Even the cat wasn't spared by the angry mob. Good to know that he awakened as a demon. At least he will be able to live that way.

The post-credit scene was very nice, by the way.
