THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That man calls himself their cousin and he said the main guy is good student. Their parents are in bad term? Little brother cleaned his broken house done by his ladies?! Cellphone found. Little brother visits that man again to ask more about the family, especially more about his past. He further cleaned his house. That huge money and keeping in secret made main guy mad. ED by little brother and megane brother. |

There he is!! The Natsuo arc is finally kicking up. I love Natsuo so much, he's a treasure. Anyway, I'm glad they're sticking to the manga pretty faithfully. Natsuo's arc is one of the most entertaining and very explicit. My favorite arc so far, I love rereading it. Alright, we have Ren get kidnapped by Natsuo but the good news is, he's Haru's cousin so all is well. Good thing he fed Ren that pizza though Ren deserved more for cleaning up that hellish room. Best part when Haru and Aki lose their heads over Ren spending the night at a supposed friend's house. Shima for most understanding brother for sure. Natsuo's scenes were so beautifully animated. The lil' tongue scene is my fav ahhh. The cute animations for Ren and Natsuo while they were in his room were cute as well. Oh and now we find out the reason for Ren wanting to work. good job Kiri for telling Haru! Ah but we also get to see Haru's selfless doting side yet again. Ren's persistence is one to be admired, he wants to continue working, that's good. Now the erotic scene for this episode was very well done! I'm so happy it wasn't cut out! It wasn't even that badly censored and the panting and flushed expression on Ren's face was to die for. Haru upsets Ren yet again but Ren made a promise to Natsuo and he's not one to go back on his promises as shown through all his actions. That scene was really good and I loved it so much. Now we know Ren gets off to being watched by Haru but is still embarrassed being watched by anyone else when doing something so intimate. A very lewd but one of the many stepping stones in their relationship. The preview for next episode! Oh I hope they don't censor it too badly, or at all. I've been pretty okay with the censoring this season, ah I love how it seems so normal and not abruptly cut off during the middle of the scene. Anyway, next episode is gonna have more Natsuo again and more development between Ren and Haru. I love this episode!!!! Natsuo is best! |

I guess the occurrence of Ren meet the "evil" cousin for the first time isn't that much of a problem for now, considering Ren is still in his "rebellious" phase and Haru still think about Ren should stop doing the "cleaning" job. But since the "evil" cousin is kind enough to tell Ren about Haru's childhood, I guess he isn't that really "evil" after all? Or maybe he had another intention for doing so? And the bad thing is just occured, the misunderstanding Haru had because of Ren stayed overnight at "stranger" place and coming home with that much money. |

Haru literally want to be a sugar daddy so bad... and why did they make it sound like Ren was being a prostitue. Shouldn't Haru know that Ren is so blunt... jeez Ugh sometimes Haru needs chill!!!! Like seriously Haru can be so rape-y at times. While Ren was self-pleasuring too wtf!!!!!! I still like the anime but Haru is gettin on my last nerves. Ren needs to stand up and fight. Boi he can't just do that to you. Like dkkMkejwmxJdnqkozJDNKDISHnfnsjixjxn Like you tried to fight Boi, but you just let him get away with because he said 'sorry'. NOOOO he made. Jerk off in front of him , and talking to you so rudely while doing then you had to fucking run (probably with yo dick still hanging out) to get away FROM THE DOMESTIC ABUSE. Haru thinks that other people are tricking/abusing him NO BOI it's YOU HARU! ughhh :( final message: HARU NEEDS TO CHILL! |

I can't even justify this season... Haru's so abusive... Like damn, Ren was safer at the stranger's place. This episode was really fucked up. Forcing him to self-pleasure in front of him while talking crap like that... Ren wants to be his equal, his lover and Haru grounds him and treats him like a child while simultaneously getting sexual gratification from him still. |

I love Ren and that's the only reason why I was still watching this and I'm not going to condone Haru's behavior. He needs to be punched in the face a couple dozen times. |

I agree they need a smack in the head from time to time but I've read so many BL stories with this development (even regular romance) that it doesn't even bother anymore. Again, I do agree about the part smacking the character in the head for dumb decisions. I did it so many times in the manga.Narciso_Weeb said: Jotakak said: I can't even justify this season... Nah, you can't compare this to those BL because I've read/watched them too and even they're not that bad. There's a scene in Junjou Romantica in the first episode that was sexual assault and it was wrong but the other character at least realized that and felt bad about it for the rest of the series and apologized after talking about it as two adults. As for Super Lovers, Haru is an adult and SHOULD KNOW BETTER. Especially since he considers himself a concerned parent rather than a lover as of right now. Ren is still considered a child and Haru's doing all this manipulative shit to him. I'm not bashing people who watch the show but you can't defend that shit. It's wrong and Ren's reaction to it made it very clear to the audience that he was not all right with what happened and with how he's been being treated. Haru's changed since the first season and not for the better either. |

Actually, to the two users arguing above me, Ren is very manipulative and in the most recent chapters, he's shown that he's calculative and knows exactly how he'll make Haru his. He even comments on how he'll do all he can to "posess this man" because he loves him so. No, Ren does not shy away from sex either, he's the one being forceful and as Haru said, "molesting" him. |

Forcing him to self-pleasure in front of him while talking crap like that... Ren wants to be his equal, his lover and Haru grounds him and treats him like a child while simultaneously getting sexual gratification from him still. I've read a lot of BL manga and I've never seen this. Usually another character is introduced to cause drama and in this case, Natsuo, but what bothers me is Haru not the new arc. I love Ren and that's the only reason why I was still watching this and I'm not going to condone Haru's behavior. He needs to be punched in the face a couple dozen times. OH MY GOD. HE'S A KID. HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS. HE WANTS TO MAKE HARU HAPPY BUT SEX IS SCARY??? HE'S NOT EVEN LEGAL YET SO HARU SHOULD BE THE ADULT ABOUT IT. Maybe if he stopped molesting the kid out of nowhere then abruptly stopping to sexually frustrate him he wouldn't be so damn confused. Lmao you actually trying to imply that Ren is being at all manipulative is utterly ridiculous Ren wants to have sex. He was just a bit surprised by the insertion of Haru's finger. As someone who rereads Super Lovers as a past time, Haru is hardly doing the "molesting" since Ren continues to take advantage of Haru, in the recent chapters of course. I know this is an anime only discussion but Ren is a very cunning individual. The later episodes will expand upon his character I hope. This is all I have to say on the matter. |

Completely agree with this. And even if we don't go into the manga... What happens in this episode? Ren could have easily stopped, punch Haru, and call it a day. I mean, how many times he beats Haru for the most bizarre reasons? No... here he let it happen (maybe he's a little masochist who gets off on it... nothing wrong with that). Ren is more mature and independent than you people give him credit for. He's no pushover. And he's very stubborn. If he wants something, he'll get it (and in this case, he wants sex). On a side note... how many people do you know that have sex after 18? I live in Germany, and the age of consent in majority of EU countries is 14-16. Some of them specify that the older partner shouldn't be over 18, and some don't. And I know that Super Lovers takes place in Japan, but I just wanted to put that here, not to say that it's right or wrong (because sometimes it IS cringe-y), but because this says something about human nature. Teenagers are interested in sex well before 18. Even if it's not legal, teenagers still do it. In this case, he happens to be in love with someone older. (Now I wonder how these laws work... Is it about the nationality or the country where it happens? I mean, if they come to Germany, could they openly date because they would be in Germany, and legal age is 14, or they still couldn't, because they are Japanese?) |

Haru is one of the more tame "seme" characters in the BL genre. Anyway, Haru does reflect on his actions. One example being how he does not drink as often anymore because of what he did to Ren when he was drunk. Another being that he backs off when Ren cries because of his own idiotic choices. What I'm trying to say here is Haru makes mistakes but from those mistakes he is learning the appropriate ways to deal with them while at the same time giving Ren whatever he may want. I really love Haru's character and the fact that he's so broken really sticks out to me. |

I'm glad I read these comments (yours and others) which have re-affirmed my decision to drop this series back on episode 4 in season 1. Haru was being very manipulative of Ren and grooming him. Glad to know my worry and gut feeling that Haru would just become outright rape-y to control and dominate Ren eventually was not unfounded. I blame the mangakas for these unoriginal and cliched stories that have a a seme that is basically a sexual assaulter posing as a romantic lover. There are few stories where this is justified but it's not here seeing how Ren is still, what 13? A previous poster questioned what kind of person thinks this sort of treatment of someone is OK and I can see what kind based on those defending the actions of Batshit Creeper has done to a 13 year old he clearly does not treat as a "younger brother/sibling". Or should I say does when it is convenient when he's not trying to get sex. I thought about giving this series a second chance seeing how lovely Hitorijime My Hero came out despite the also cliched and rapey story of Hitorijime Boyfriend being modified to make it less abusive... However, nope, even with the egregious sex scenes cut out, Haruko/Haru/Natsu is more abusive than I could have predicted. |

Spending the night at a stranger's apartment is indeed a naive and dangerous thing to do, but Haru is getting way too emotionally abusive, someone please bash his head into a wall, maybe he'll forget everything again and starts over in a better way. I agree wholeheartedly with the above user. Haru wants to keep his cute little boy close forever, keeps treating him like a kid, fears his 'rebellious phase' (= being responsible, independent and aware) all while sexually tainting him, taking advantage of Ren's hormones and feelings. He's a textbook groomer even if several fangirls, as expected, justify him. Lust, jealousy, obsession and control are clearly his (or the author's) idea of 'love'. Sorry but no, it's not romantic, it's not adorable, and Haru is not a good albeit overprotective older brother. Such toxic pairings are the reason why most people criticize BL works and stay miles away from them. Conclusion: I'm afraid he'll totally ruin Ren. |
