She always cuts to Gamon to do the stupid kawaii, is there a reason?

She definitely will be important since of all main characters only she has shadow.

It reminds me that Zonko is cutting Gamon off and is preventing him from concentrating. :o

"Found one particular memory?" In case you didn't notice, Asuna never gets to choose what to see. Otherwise, she would have got way better info out of that doujin.
Clearly, that was the best possible memory that she could get. what did you expect? when he bought that BL? when he fapp to it in his room? no. it's too convinient, man.

How about the detective speaking to the doujin's author? Or speaking to Yuuta Gamon while talking about teeth being pulled out?
Yuuta is related to that radio station, we know that, but it's a long line from there.
That memory was recorded in the beginning of his investigation, and any latter memories would have been quite useful.

Yeah, no. If you check the news once a year you'll know how much that isn't true. Corrupted cops are not uncommon.

This anime has predictions of the future. I bet there is proof somewhere that predicting the future violates causality.
No there isn't. Altering the continuum violates causality, seeing the future does not. However that means that everything you see is a wave that ripples backwards in time from an existing source, thus it cannot be altered. Continuum is an attribute of field interaction, as long as no systems are isolated (as no system can be) nothing can be independently changed.

Seeing the future is possible, and does happen. But again, it's nothing you can change. If you attempt to alter it, a bizarre "coincidence" (which is actually ananke, necessity) of events will occur with the factor of you having seen it in play, inevitably resulting in the same outcome seen, despite all attempts to change it. Non-relativistic time travel is impossible (you can't go back and you can only alter the way in which you exist in the present, rarefacting it or compressing it relatively), but time sensors are possible. Not that it's going to benefit anyone, as anything you see is intrinsically inevitable.

The only thing absolute that exists in a universe that functions entirely relatively, is the æther itself, which contains all of the attributes of polarization, space, counterspace, time and so on; continuum is the state in which the field persists and coheres, and time is how we measure it.

Keep in mind many seers are phony, or confuse present psychometry for premonition, thus giving false prophecies. In my experience, catching a psychometric waves from the future is sporadic at best. Unpredictable and ultimately mundane as you'll just see a random snippet scene of a particular action in a particular place, but have no context for it.

Yeah, I know it very well. I live in Russia, after all.
No idea what Japanese policemen are like, but anime policemen in near-present Japan are always portrayed as upstanding people, even if they are incompetent. (but policemen in any sort of dark future are likely to be bad people) Maybe it's so that the police wouldn't get angry.

If the psychometer has any reasons to suspect these people, it's all the more reason to invade their privacy and know they're corrupt in advance.

It's not that it's underrated, it's that, despite it's intellectual content, it's really really poorly executed.

Yeah, people expected a lot more of the Creator of Steins Gate. Also this is some poor's man Drrr!.

Drrr! did a way better job in his first eps conecting a solid plot (and they destroyed that in his second cour, but the first one is a masterpiece).

Moritsuka Shun can be awesome at times and at other times, he can be annoying, not at the MC/Gamotan's level though but sometimes.

I thought they would react more dramatically after finding out they were dead just like how Miyuu was acting but no, this is a comedy.

Its style and execution is too Durarara!!-esque and as much as I love DRRR and it being one of my favorite Anime series of all time, I want something different. I'm still going to watch it thought because the story is getting more and more interesting.

We finally got to see Gamotan's deceased body. Funny, he isn't swollen.

See? you get the idea. that was exactly what i'm talking about. they could visualize some fragment of another memory, this or that, like a real search, but no. i understand the production was limitied by duration and some other sircumstances, but this conduct was proved to be harming the product itself.
so, i apreciate your argument, i agree that''s possible, but you know suspension of disbelieve is something hard to get rid of.

The way I see it (and unless somebody who has read the LN/VN comes with a refutation), Asuna can't choose a memory to see, just like many other fictional psychometers.

Well, that would create a plot defect regarding psychometry. If that's the case, i would assume that there would be some sort of procedure to implant a memory in one particular object. Very weak premise..... don't mind my rambling.

Maybe she is Zonko, I dunno this confused me :(
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

Using "El Psy Congroo" was such a desperation move, am I right? I actually felt offended when they used that. This anime is just so devoid of positive qualities that the only thing they can do is mimic other, much better anime from the past.

Very interesting episode, but I really don't understand why some people can see Yuta and the others, while other people can't. In particular, I wonder how they're going to explain Asuna seeing Yuta alive when she's also looking at his dead body, as even having the potential to see the "ghosts" should be overwritten if you see their corpses, surely? Also, why did using psychometry on Yuta show her nothing at all, when all the other dead at least got a drowning scene?

My only complaint now would be that I'd prefer them to explain some things every now and then before bringing in a ton of new ideas on top of what's already here.

I think there's two answers to your questions. 1.) Some can see Yuta because they're dead meanwhile some can't see him because they're alive. 2.) The reason why Asuna might not be able to read Yuta's thoughts is because his soul is present and that, I'm assuming is something that is blocking her from freely going into his mind. Maybe it's also due to the fact that her permission to enter his brain is restricted by his own presence. That's what I'm thinking at the very least- that souls do very well have emotions as well... Only maybe those of the main characters'.

Just Binge watched this and I'm almost agreeing with @jc9622

Ryouka and the radio voice are VERY,VERY SIMILAR. (IMO they are voiced by the same person)

Was wondering they just used the same VA to cut a little expense. But after reading his theory and seeing that picture I'm not sure anymore if that is the case.

But something on purpose xD

I would not be hasty in judging the solutions found for "endorsing" the latest events, but the speculation made so far, I convinced enough to make plausible that if seen; But also I look forward to the next episode to "prove" the theory of the plot. Narratively they managed to keep me in suspense until the end, and the epilogue is well represented the high point of the story. I wonder if the bartender is involved in the plot, I do not convince me. Now the idea that most excites me is to know how to have "formulated" the plan to make the project possible of eternal life: that they used subterfuge to push the protagonists to commit suicide.

Now that it's confirmed that most of the main casts are dead, I really want to know more about Ryo-tas. Yes, she's an annoying bitch with a big melon and likely suffering from down syndrome but I am beginning to suspect that Ryouka is not what we think she is.

In the previous episodes, she still has a shadow so she's mostly likely still alive and every time she leaves the bar (?), a girl in the radio starts speaking to Yuuta. Coincidence? I think not.

Also, the shot in the OP probably confirms my theory.

I'm willing to bet my soul that Ryouka is that girl in the radio. Which means she might not be as retarded as I thought she is.

I can't wait to see more Asuna next episode. She's an interesting character.

5/5 Increasing my ratings to 7/10 --> 8/10 and it's got nothing to do with El Psy Kongroo.

Your idea may be plausible, I do not think there could be a new character yet to be revealed.

Miyu & Aria join ghost group. Now only Ryotas, at least her oppai, casts shadow, so she's alive. People say hints of Zonko=Ryotas.
New radio station, but host is dead, maybe not Zonko related.
Psychometry Asuna is cute fbichan, but also rambles superfast like everyone, close kouhai of Detectiveboy. He took her off of investigation likely due to psychometry bad for her health as we see near end. Lol he manages to piss off Aria, devil & his boss on the phone (Okarin?).
Gamotan sees himself, & Asuna sees both of em, trippy stuff. Noh mask dude stalking him. Mass brainwashing led to drowning, memory copying to 1 byte worth of people lol (256), but Gamotan is empty.
"8 gods of fortune"? Usual 7 gods + 1 mystery. Aria said Anmeiji had 2 gods. Previous immortality conference had 7 people.
We had shafty tilts, 90 degrees, now let's have 180 degree thanks to Gamotan.

Been watching all episodes up to this episode. Will watch ep8 and 9 soon. So far, all I can say is that it really has a fantastic mystery.

The mystery alone should be at 8 or 9 on my skala. It gives the same atmosphere and reminds me of 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. Some of the concepts are then and there the same.

Glad I didn't completely skipped watching this anime despite the low rating. It's gotten really interesting lately, and I mean reaaalllyyy interesting.

Now I can't stop watching.

So to fuel more the theory that Zonko is actually Ryo-tas, just as she leaves, Zonko starts to speak up.

Moritsuka died and he has a female acquaintance, Asuna who can use psychometry to the point where she could feel the emotion, hear the thoughts and see their visions form the memory of anything that is associated to whatever object or person she touches., that's really fucking convenient, isn't it.

So then... The characters announced dead are actually dead, yet as explained, they exist as a soul without physical bodies and are able to interact with the world due to the electrical field in the world sustaining their memories together. Quite bizarre the way that they are all 'hypnotized' or brainwashed to essentially commit suicide without them even knowing it.

Gamon seeing his corpse is exciting yet terrifying.

Mortisuka said it! El Psy Kongroo! That phrase gave me a surge of unforgettable memories (T^T)
