One thing that really bugged me about this series was the idea that Kaizaki's classmates won't remember him after this experiment is over. Why?

The transformation itself is explained, flimsily, by the development of a top secret new drug (never mind the fact that they could make many billions of dollars with this product on the free market, rather than using it to make two NEETs fall in love). Ok, but what does this have to do with the people Kaizaki comes into contact with? Does this company really have the means to run around and selectively erase the memories of hundreds of people? Or is that just a lie they tell to the test subjects? If this is better explained in the manga, I'm curious.

Its because he never actually existed, therefore they suppose that a meeting in the future by chance would be problematic... as to if they will really erase everybodies memories it looks like it in the manga however ryou is trying to make a special exception to keep everbodies memories intact.... yea I also kinda find it annoying

It might be just a fluke, a lie.

Nah my take is that, he means that once hes gone, people will naturally forget him. After long periods like years I assume.

If you dont keep in touch with your high school friends irl, they forget you. I dont even remember 1/3 of the people I went to school with. Like the ones I went to school with but never actually hung out or know them pass their names.

I dont even remember half my teachers

in the anime they said they will erase only other ppl's memory's but the test subject like Arata will still have their memory's after experiment is over & they also said if Arata says to any1 about this experiment they will also erase hes memory's so if he play's by the rules hes memory's will be intact

Yes that is correct, but I'm saying it's likely Hishiro and Kaizaki would forget about each other (excluding everyone else). However, I'm just going by what the manga said.

I know the answers has been shown online but whoever came here without knowing the answers and would like to know can read this. The reason they lose their memories are due to the viruses in the pills that were given to the subjects and staff helpers (Kaizaki, Yoake, An, Chizuru). Whoever came in contact with this virus such as Kaizaki's friends in high school would contain this virus. The more it consumes, the more they will likely to forget about the person who swallowed the pills and the memory loss will occur by the end of the year. This is why the subject (Chizuru Hishiro) had to restart if they failed their first year. Also, if you're wondering how the subjects and helpers can remember each other, it's because the pills contains the antibodies of their viruses which prevent the viruses from entering their bodies. For example, Kaizaki would have the antibodies of Yoake virus and Yoake would have the same (If I'm not mistaken). Due to this, I think that since Chizuru was a subject before Kaizaki, they didn't have the proper antibodies in them which leads to both have their memories lost because the viruses in them had spread over. Since Yoake was Chizuru helper from the start, he already consumes the pills with her virus antibodies so he won't forget about her by the end. The answers that I found were in chapter 203 of ReLife manga.
