| ITS THAT TIME AGAIN! YAAAAY! AnimeNorth 2010! Weekend of May 28th - 30th 2010. Anime North 2010 will be held on the weekend of May 28-30 (Memorial Day weekend) at the Toronto Congress Center, 650 Dixon Road, and at the Doubletree International Plaza Hotel, 655 Dixon Rd. (directly across the street). Additional events will be held at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel 801 Dixon Road (formally the Renaissance), west of the Doubletree across the highway bridge). Daily parking is free at the Toronto Congress Center. Here is the website: http://www.animenorth.com/main/ Ok, I know its early but its good to get organised. I'm thinking of doing the hotel thing again. It was alot of fun when I did it in 2008. I stayed at the Radisson Hotel, I hated commuting back to downtown every night. Plus I want to go to late night events too. -___- I also want to organize a group rate discount, which requires 10+ people. As some of you know, door prices for the weekend otaku badge is $55.00. Single Pre registration (before March 12) is $45.00. Group Registration (Before March 12) is 40.00. So I either want to organize a group discount fare, or join one. o.o When I was at UWaterloo the anime club there actually paid for my ticket. It was pretty freaking awesome. So what I want to know is, who's going? And how are you paying for your entrance tickets? As of now I probably have about 3 or 4 people that will be in the group discount with me. o.o I also want to add how pissed off I am about this: "The Nominoichi is now SOLD OUT. All the tables have been reserved and the standby list is full. The Nominoichi will be on Friday night, 9:00pm, in the Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel. " I have so much stuff that I dont want anymore. And too lazy to ebay them. I'm talking about full series manga, games, anime DVD, wall scrolls, plushes, posters. ARGH! Does anyone here have a table??? You can have part of my profit! anyways, Questions, comments, concerns? |

| I've gone for the past two years, and I'm going again this year. o3o I'm doing the hotel thing;; got a room at the Crowne Plaza. It's going to be weird, I forgot about the hill we'll have to travel, but whatevvs. It'll be an adventure, haha. That sucks about missing out on Nominoichi, just store it all in a box for next year? ... A big box~ I haven't checked that out before, but I'm thinking of checking it this year. (Because, y'know, I need more stuff? Definitely not. xD) |
| I went twice, every time was a shitty experience. Plus I lost my Camera :(. I'm thinking of trying to go again for the maids since I missed it last year. |
| I don't know if i'll bother going this year. The guest lists seem to be getting worse and worse as years go by (which I can't figure out since every year the con is getting more money since it's constantly growing), and the money I'd spend will most likely be going towards Uni instead. Last year all I missed by not going (first year not going since 2K1) was room parties with friends. Also: I too am interested in what you are wanting to get rid of Kerohime =D |

| Yep I'll be headed down to AnimeNorth this year.... and it's been far too long since I went... Hmm.. last time I was there it was only the 2nd or 3rd yr it was on.... now if that doesn't date me... nothing will :P I just hope I can get a costume made in time :) |

| SO an important update for anime north. I have 6 confirmed guests on my group registration. That means there will be 4 extra weekend passes for 40 dollars that will be available for anyone that wants a weekend pass for 40 bucks. For those interested, just PM me, and I'll be trading the tickets at the actual con. If nobody takes it here, i'll probably just sell them at the lineup at ANORTH, since a day pass is around 40 dollars. |
