I actually didn't expect the tennis aspect of this series to be this interesting at first, but it really is growing on me.

This episode took a while to get around the idea that Oka was missing vision of the game, but she got it before the episode's ending.

Another bad episode. Was this a filler? The whole thing seemed random to me.

The worst thing about the last few episodes is that the series has, for some reason, started acting like its viewers are retarded. In this episode we had horrible exposition such as:

"You cannot play tennis with just your legs. That must be it. I'm always running, but... Ochoufujin, for some unknown reason, doesn't run that much. Why... Why... I wonder why."

The lengthy abomination above could be substituted for "Ochoufujin... Doesn't run that much". The viewer will easily understand the rest. Also...

This episode also had HORRIBLE animation. That's two horrible episodes in a row, and the one just before them was completely unremarkable. I once had high hopes for this series, I hope it recovers.

"I will become his world and will make him my world" - You really should know who said this.

"Firing at unarmed citizens is a feat that those without courage and a chivalrous spirit simply cannot accomplish." - Oskar von Reuenthal

"No way Spirited Away is better than Akira. NO WAY." - Kanye West

Really? Thought it was a pretty good episode, Hiromo up till now has just been doing what's she was told to do without ever think for herself about her playstyle. Because she's fairly new to tennis she's just been relying on her "legs" and her opponents mistakes, but as her opposition gets better that isn't going to work.

So as the next step in her training the coach pointed out the flaws in her playstyle and let her figure it by herself. The coach only telling her now is probably that due to her lack of experience so trying to predict her opponents shots would have been useless before.

"They wear there sunglasses at night". No surprise they lost, surprised they were able to hit any ball at all.

i enjoyed the progression of this episode, especially considering the context of the one before it. cause it made me question: “what is it that she’s missing?” and slowly over time, the answer came ever in bits and pieces.
it seemed that they didn’t use an ost when maki and hiromi were in the cafe. the song playing sounded like a late 70s to early 80s jazz piece?
maki is still my favorite character. super homegirl to hiromi. supporting characters are the best! what’s wrong with not being the main focus of the show, yet adding in crucial progress to the story? nothing is wrong with that.

The tennis match played in this episode was probably one of the more realistic ones. Hiromi now knows where a ball is going to be, and how to get to it without only relying on running really fast. Otowa did quite well also.

Hiromi predicting where the ball going to land, is well executed.

Otowa development is fascinating to watch. From a hateable character to likable.

Why does Hiromi have to re-discover the entire concept of predicting the motions of the ball by herself? Why wasn't this something the coach could have taught her? He frequently told her what she was doing wrong in the first half of the series. When the ball knocked the racket out of her hand he didn't say "figure it out yourself" he said "your grip is too weak".
