| Basically I thought that it was based on the light novel, but then I found that the novel is a precuel... and there is a manga also. So my problem is here, Angel Beats is some kind of original sequel to the novel or it was based on the novel itself? Also, the manga came after the anime, right? Maybe I'm just stupid but I got really confused :P |

| IIRC Angel Beats was an anime original project that had manga/LN come out afterwards. Remember that anime don't need source material i.e. manga, LN, VN, to get created as long as there's an original script. |

| I dunno, but if you're asking about the source material, according to MAL, it's an original. The manga & novels would have to come out after the anime if it was an original. I don't know much though. |
