I never played the games this anime is based off of and am kinda going into this blind.

I'm still trying to decide if this anime is worth checking or not though...anyone else gonna watch it? If so than why??

I also forgot to mention the art for this looks really good...I hope they don't try to make this anime like a Sword Art Online XD

It says an original story, so I guess it should be fine. I might watch it even though I haven't played the game lol

It honestly looks pretty bad, and game adaptations tend to not be that great on the whole. But eh.

Aww, this just makes me miss the game. I had the psp version but I never got to finish it because my psp broke.
R.i.p PSP-kun (I've never "-kun"d anything before and I felt a cringe while doing it)
I doubt there's gonna be much hype for it since it doesn't seem too memorable but I know a few of are gonna watch it nonetheless

I'm watching this. I started playing since pso came out on dream cast. I'm a late starter compared to those who found it during the nes days. Love the game and the franchise. PSO2 on pc was dope! even though there is no US release. Just gotta get the english patch. I'm interested to see what they do which the show. Like most anime you have to like the genre/what ever else. regardless if you havent played the game, it should be a stand alone show to enjoy. It has yet to release... whos to say its worth watching or not.

After watching episode 1 I can say this: The anime requires zero prior knowledge. In fact you can think of it as a giant PV for the game. A new expansion for the game is "conveniently" coming out this month for the game as well.

TL;DR: The purpose of this anime is obviously to get more people interested in the game.

Whether there'll be an actually interesting plot is unknown, but it's pretty average so far.

As someone who basically counted down to the JP server's opening (and then ragequit shortly after).

Seconded.

PSP? isn't that PSP in PSP? don't blame me, that's how the game was named in PSP console -_-

Back on topic, don't expect anything from a 12-episode game-to-anime adaptation, you'll somehow find one thing you like from the anime

... if you plan on watching that is
