Kuwabara's time to shine...

"unparalleled" that's what Genkai said about Kuwabara's spirit awareness

That was a pretty short fight, but Kuwabara finally has his spiritual power back =)

Kuwabara is the new bad-ass.

So, who would guess he was actually the one with the power to cut through the net. I wonder how the baddies will do it. Kuwabara would rather die than do that, unless he is being controlled *hint hint!

Never thought that it will be Kuwabara who have the ability to cut the peripheral field. At 1st I really think it was Hiei...

And isn't that stereotyping to the whole mankind? That video could only be some group of people who did that cruel things. You cannot just punish the whole mankind for that.. Hehe, sorry for the rantings.

Revelation after revelation this episode. A former spirit detective and the ultimate snuff film. I guess a kid who's only experienced bullying and cruelty would buy into the contents of the Black Chapter right away. I got a little woozy just thinking about if it existed in real life.

Chapter Black doesn't sound bad at all compared to some of the videos I casually watch for fun.

In the end, its weight feels far too light for the gravity of the situation.

Wow, didn't expect ol' Kuwabara to be "the one". I'm glad that even after all this time, he and the other mains have never felt irrelevant.

All the most heinous things human have done in one video and you are really asking whether it's that bad. I knew you were bad at school but come on Yusuke, come on.

Awesome a former spirit detective as an enemy who may try to convince Urameshi if humanity truly deserves to be saved. Super glad Kuwabara's powers are basically back.

Kyaaaaa I guess right!

Kuwabara carrying his 3 friends and Seaman, and Seaman warming up to him, is my 3rd favorite Kuwa's moment (behind his fight in the Suzaku's arc and his speech before his "death" in the Toguro's fight)

There's not much to Seaman's fight, but I don't mind. Cuz I think the show did well for a teenage boy, outcast, immature, angsty, nihilist and directionless. If he suddenly is very intelligent and fights well, it would not suit his character.

I guess Togashi hates Toguro Elder SO FUKKING MUCH that he allowed him 2 missed deaths only to finally perish the 3rd times inside a guy's belly.

Seaman pls change side!!!!!

I used to get a lot of feels from mecha animes when previous opponents are brought to the side of justice and cooperate with the protagonists. Seeing guys who rivalled with each other somehow working together is soooooooo goooood.
Genres like moe, rom-com, girl-centric ... don't give me this pleasure. But watching this ep makes me so hopeful!!! Getting 1 of the 7 on their side will give them so much information.
In shounen maybe the best example of this is Naruto where Gaara was like the biggest villain in the show, but later becomes a huge help to the Leaf Ninja. Haven't seen much shounen, must give shows like Bleach and One Piece a try.

wowowooww, fictional text/ tape that influences the life of the characteres. AND fictional biography!!! Now I'm excited when we dig all of Sensui's past up, and how he met his mates, and maybe came into contact with Sakyo.

Kuroi shou? A tape? Kurorekishi? Turn A Gundam? Also, remind me of Naruto's Pain, who wants to start a big fukking war to scare the shit out of human. Here Sensui's more drastic.

I LOVE KURAMA'S BRAINS!

Enjoy yourself watching the Black Chapters while listening to Beethoven No.9.

Oh man thinking about it now, the internet would have blown that kid's mind to pieces.

I feel bad because I thought that Togashi had MUCH more skill in writing antagonists, but that whole humanity is bad so kill them speech was cringe worthy.

Everything else was fine in this episode.

I don't think Seaman's motivations are as "cringey" as people say they are in this thread. He's obviously portrayed as a misguided individual, and the team, while acknowledging how bad people can be at times, never thought "is he right?"

The Chapter Black tape is kind of a cheesy story. I understand how that kid could be turned by it though; it's kind of like a cult setup. The water aesthetics and palette in this episode were nice.

Well, Kuwabara's spirit energy seems to be back, that's a relief. Chapter Black, huh, apparently it has the most heinous crimes committed by the humans recorded. So, the guy used to be a spirit detective just like Yuusuke, he must be powerful then, but pretty sure Yuusuke is stronger.

What are you both talking about are we gonna pretend how serve bullying, manipulation, rhetoric or just bad experiences can warp certain young individuals minds give way to extreme ideologies thats just the reality, can imagine in another world these individuals had the power to carry out their goals with no repercussions many of us wouldn't be here. I find it funny the same people will call this Sensui whole plot line cheesy(even though Yu Yu Hakusho nearly 30 years old) yet will praise and claim villains such Thanos or Killmonger as deep who have similar goals the lack awareness among some people is shocking.

so kuwabara is the guy they are searching, wonder what they gonna do to kidnap him.

seems that this fight against seaman is just to let kuwabara awaken.

as for sensui, i thought there's going to be some twist about him, but i didn't expected him to be ex-sprit detective, that's gonna be interesting.

Sensui is an interesting character and I like the fact he is suicidal in nature that we don't see from villains often. The last episodes made me think the rest of this arc was just going to be the gang against Sensui's seven, but I like how things seem to be more complex than that.

Yes! It’s about time Kuwabara got his powers back, yeah the fight between Seaman wasn’t very long but god that was worth seeing just to see the spirit sword appear in Kuwabara’s hands again! Now for the meat of this episode, the revelation that Sensui is in fact another spirit detective just like Yusuke only on the side of evil. Now that’s one hell of a payoff for me, not only is Sensui wanting to destroy humanity with this demonic horde underground but he was also somebody who Koemna knew personally. Man Yusuke is in for a wild ride here. Also Seaman got turned to Sensui’s side because a video tape called Chapter Black which has all the atrocities that humanity has ever done honestly considering the way Seaman was already broken thanks to his bullying experiences, I’m not surprised that Chapter Black turned him to the dark side as it were.

Man this arc is just getting more and more complex right here. So good man, so good not gonna lie.

"Have you ever seen a row of people being lined up to be killed?"

That line gave me goosebumps! It instantly reminded me of "The Holocaust." I saw a glimpse of a video once, where a bunch of naked Jews; men, women, and children about to be executed. I can imagine how it would be distracting to watch that "Black Chapters Video."

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Okay, I forgot why he even attacked Kuwabara in the first place lol
History courses are needed for these kids, but I get having watched the tape would take a mental toll on someone, it just a bit silly how the recruitment of his crew might have gone, pick a guy that awakened a strong skill and hope he wants to kill humanitiy after watching the tape lol
Fighting a former spirit detective would have been a stronger arc if Yuusuke have done more of the spirit detective-thing xD
