So without any LN spoilers please. Do you think they're planning a second season for this anime?

I honestly can't see the series ending like this. Unless they're all suddenly wiped out within 2 episodes.

It's going to be a huge cliffhanger imo. I mean even if they wipe each other out they have no chance of killing the demon king.

The frst season is made so that it's completely possible to add further season. Every single information which is useful for the second arc rather than the first one is there, they haven't skipped a single one.

So they can.

Now, the LN aren't selling, the BR/DVD aren't selling, and looking at the animation, the budget isn't big either.

So the chances are low. But nothing to proves that there is none either.

Don't worry, I think a second season will be quite likely, especially with the amount of revenue gained from legal streaming in China plus a recent boost in light novel sales, even if the BD sales haven't been great.

Regardless, Passione are definitely being ambitious with this project so I think a second season may have been planned from the get-go.
Their intention probably isn't to make a cash cow out of RnY; rather, they just want to adapt a well-written story, which is a godsend in this era of anime full of ecchi/harem shows.

Just thought I'd quote myself for this. I know this is quite an optimistic view but I would still like to throw it out there that the possibility is definitely not slim.

Bottomline: it's not doing too well in Japan, but it is selling bigger than other summer shows abroad.

Sounds like has a decent chance especially if they aren't rushing the story i'm personally enjoying it XD

Yay, I love Passione if they just wanted to adapt a good story, I never would have known about Rokka if they didn't.

I hope it helps. I want to see more of the characters and interactions, more fights, and in different enviroments.

If there's not going to be a second season, at least someone please make a quality figure of Fremy Speeddraw, her character design is too good to be ignored.

Amen to that. Reading LNs is basically like watching anime in your head anyway. The animation in your head is probably better anyway :p
Most of the UBW looked cooler in my head.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

Its likely, if the 7th is not discovered then a second season makes sense plus there are still unanswered question that could be explained in a second season.

they HAVE to make another season for this story to be wrapped up because with only 2 episodes left we still dont know who the 7th is and they still have to fight the demon god. This anime has amazing animation for the low budget it seems to have plus it's a great story. Only way they can wrap it up is if the demon god is actually one of them disguised as a human and they kill him right there and then but that would be lame. The sales are extremely low i think so it might have a bad conclusion if it doesnt get a second season.

I sure hope so, this anime is great. Two episodes are not enough to cover what I believe to be the rest of the story (revealing the 7th's identity + fighting the demon god). I'd like to see a second season soon.

Some of you mentioned the sales. Are they really that bad?

Does anyone know if this is licensed in the US? If sales here are good, would that raise chances for a season 2?

Also what are the chances of a second studio picking this up if Passione drops this?

But amazing adaptation. Definitely want to get the light novels and DVD box set when it eventually comes out! Superb animation, storyline, characters 10/10

Yea, I'm going to trust this guy ^ over all of the people saying, "yea it totally needs a second season, it didn't cover everything yet".

...that has nothing to do with sales.

Of course I'd like to see a second season, not just because I like the show, but because if it flopped I'd feel bad for Studio Passione. Relatively new studio. Rail Wars had lots of "plot" and great art, but it flopped. If this flops too, they might not be around too much longer, despite being a pretty decent studio.

The anime flopping has literally nothing to do with them either. That's strictly fucking shitty dick mc fuck Japanese taste.

I've always been content to be a secondary, but today, I decided I would read my first LN. Just got done with vol. 2

I think it's the character dynamic and the ongoing sense of mystery and tension, on top of an appealing setting, that draws me in. I honestly was not blown away by the first few episodes of the show, and was on the verge of dropping it, but this may be the single biggest example of a near-miss that I'm so glad I ended up sticking with. I think I've been spoiled on a major detail that happens in a later volume, so I've decided to catch up as much as I can before I get spoiled further.

There is just enough time to discover the 7th. Demon God will have to wait for quite a while, for the demons won't give up with only one obstacle. In fact, from the spoilers we know the Braves haven't reached the Demon God in all the published volumes.
Well, it's not like we have any doubts the Braves will defeat the Demon God when they do reach him. Heroes always win battles like that.

Us sales don't matter. Only reason Japanese sales count because it's like $60 per volume of 2-4 episodes.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

As far as the pacing goes, it needs to be 1 LN per season. The first LN is 400pages long! Most LNs are only about 200 pages long but even then they need often 5 or 6 episodes to be properly paced. I honestly don't care about fighting the demon god yet and it sounds like loads of interesting things happen along the way.

Anime is good, fucking deal with it.

^Errr no. The first volume is 300 pages long, which is completely standard for a LN.
Only one volume is 400 pages long in RnY and that's the 6th. 5th is around 360 pages long and that was the biggest until the 6th was published.

But the TL you downloaded cannot be used as a reference lol :D . It completely depends on how many lines per pages and how many characters per lines. Whereas bunkoban always (or almost always) have the same set numbers for this. So comparison should be done with the original format. RnY has completely standard size for a novel in bunkobon format .

I hope it doesn't. This show is supposed to keep you guessing who the brave is but I called on episode fucking 6. After episode 10 I was so confident in my answer I looked it up and was right. So much disappointment on how shallow and pathetic this "mystery" is.

I don't need evidence jammed up my asshole to figure this out.

They gave you enough evidence to convict before even episode 5.

Can you PM your guess in a spoiler tag? If your right when it's revealed you get a cookie.

If you check Amazon, you will find out the BD already sold out, but not because it will get good sales, it's the publisher know it won't sell since start, though now seems their expectation maybe a bit too low(sales mostly will still bad, but not as bad as they thought)

Another good anime wasted. The story was better than other fantasy shows. But sadly people care more about ecchi/harem type series now.

This was a pretty popular anime, with big numbers, why is no one continuing it?

Sometimes I don't understand. It was like with One Punch Man. First season was a hit, not only popular, but also with great reception, yet they did not make a sequel and another studio had to step in. Why?
Don't you think "Oh, not again" when you hear an anime start with cicadas?
