| Hmmm. I actually like the first episode a bit more. To be able to maintain that level of art detail is simply astonishing, but it looks like the animation has taken a hit as a result. For the MC, Utsugi Lenka is not even slightly interesting or entertaining to me. Being a generally good guy who'll endanger himself to save others is hardly a bad thing, Shirou is one of my favorite characters after all, but Lenka isn't being given enough depth for us to care for his motivations. I realize that it's only been two episodes, but if they're gonna focus on the main character and give him this much screen time, they better make him more interesting. The lifeless face and the VA's emotionless voice doesn't help him score any points with me, either. Can't wait for more Alisa, though. The final bit with the lowering plane hatch was badass. The OP didn't grow on me, still. The ED is alright. 2.5/10 (would've risen to 3/5 if there were more underboob shots :p) |

| Getting quite used to the animation now, but some part just really feel meh. Not feeling Lenka so much yet as well. Idk, it's like, he lacks emotion.... but that's probably just the eyes or something. And lmfao, Eric still dies. And for a pathetic MC, too. What a shame. Alisa's showing up next, ugh. Wasn't too fond of her during the early parts of the game, and now I have to suffer through the same thing all-over again... probably even worse. The lions were some of the fastest enemies, and fighting Vajra was like fighting this animal that kept spinning and spamming lightning, but they made this Vajra so easy to fight and die in a few hits while that characters seem to struggle even with how easy it is. Goddamit Team 1 was supposed to have soloed an Ouroboros, but with this skill, I don't think so. Man, I had such high hopes because Ufotable was in charge of this, but really, this is quite disappointing. | Seems like the animation/artstyle wasn't as noticeable this time. Maybe I'm already getting used to it? Anyway, not a great episode, and I've certainly seen better battles and action sequences, but for whatever reason I still want to keep watching. I'm curious about the other New-Type and seeing her in action. Otherwise, Lindow seems to be the most interesting character, but I like Sakuya as well. I get what people have said about Lenka seeming emotionless... haven't made up my mind about him just yet. -- 3/5 |

| I think is too early to be calling the show bad or not. The characters lack originality and feel a little like caritures but the whole theme can produce some good entrtainment if it gets directed proberly. Let's wait and see. | It's unfortunate the rookie's mistake caused Eric to die anyhow after he made the effort to save him. Eric sacrificed his own life for the rookie. The reaction: possible removal of his God Arc. Seems reasonable when you think about it, but this is anime so he'll of course redeem himself and show that he's worthy enough to keep around. Especially since he's already shown he's a 'new-type'; those with the ability to switch their weapon from a gun to a sword and vice-verse. The artwork is still one of the biggest draw-points the show has going for it, but it's also one of the biggest reasons people write it off as well. People can't understand that the shading used is an artistic style and also can't comprehend that it's not CG. They write it off as just being terrible CG effects, but it's nothing of the sort. GOD EATER has an extremely high animation budget and this kind of spot on detail shading is a lot of work. I think it makes the show stand out and gives it a unique feel among all the other generic art work out there. That was a big reason why I enjoyed Seraph of the End so much too; the way they hand-drew all the backgrounds was just fabulous there. |

| Not gonna lie, this episode was kinda boring :S So Eric dies for Lenka ... *sigh* His attitude really annoys me >_< I gathered from Rintou's last name that he was related to Amamiya and yep, I was right! :D Alisa seems interesting ... can't wait to see her in action. She seems more interesting than Lenka at any rate -_-" Sakuya and Soma seem cool at least ... well, and somehow Rintou convinces them to let Lenka out and accompany them. Ugh well ... IDK, hope the show gets better :S ED was all right ... has some nice parts but don't really love it :P |

| My only complaint is them guilt tryping the MC over Erics death.Without the MC, he would have been dead way earlier. And it's not like anyone made Eric do this, besides Eric himself. Also, if the badly hurt Eric can move this fast, way couldn't Lindow or Soma? And Sakuya wasted her last shot earlier. Shooting that one was pointless, but it could have helped now. And ultimately, it's all of team one's fault for not actually killing the Vajra before. Given that it jumped from *behind* team one over to where Lenka is before anybody of team one did react, it could easily have attacked them instead. And why Lindow didn't simply do his thing right away instead of waiting so long when he can apparently instant kill it (or not, as we found out..).. Oh, and why didn't they kill it before, during their mission, if it's so easy? But no, of course the MC is guilty simply for being there. |
| Don't worry, Lenka. We all got hit by the Vajra's electric attack the first time. I like how they showed Eric's funeral. Things they couldn't do in the game. DAT ALISA OPPAI! My waifu is looking amazing. |

| It really reminds me of Evangelion : the monsters with cores, the weapons that seem to be made from those monsters (EVA), the german names with deep meanings (schicksal = fate), the new models with a girl fighter coming from another country (Asuka anyone), the protected city, the lab experience which went havoc. It's a bit too much, but it remains a fine show. |
| Eric died for Lenka's sake. Rest in peace, even though he had barely any screentime, he seemed like a funny person. The pacing was kinda slow imo but whatever. It's time for some action again. And we're about to see the new girl (goddamn those angles again..) |

| Wonder if the monsters were created by the people in the flash backs? At least that's what I'm getting out of it. The visual effects of the electric monster, and the bombs blowing up were neat! Meh, poor Eric. You survived the battle to only die 10 minutes later. But I did forget who you were 🤭 |
