I feel like Kurosaki is more or less a distant character. His guitar also seems so simple. Liked his style though and one of the more quiet types compared to the other cast.

I think he has talent though.

It's time to create Quartet Night's SSS song, by going on the trip with them. They never talked with the staff when sing ing their own song, and decided to discuss because of what their solo songs were done. The four of them and Shining have different ideas, so it's hard to think of one.

Getting brief alone moments with each member because they said what they want then left. The completed music made them grew with passion because it's their song. They even thought of how they would perform with little acting. It seems like there's a chance for ST☆RISH to attend SSS according to the interview?

I'm guessing the song for this ep. might be the title song for Quartet Night single with "dice" song?

Yet another disappointing episode. I think I've given up on this season. For a fan of Quartet Night they are messing it all up. That's just how I feel. I'm not exactly sure what it is but every episode that has anything to do with them has been my least favorites. This one was strange for me and I can't pinpoint what it was either.

MAN! What even happened this eipsode??? All the scenes were soooo dragged out and the dialogue was super weird.
I liked the song but it sounded weird without any of the background instrumentals other than the piano.

I think it's because the members of QN aren't exactly entertaining to watch. Their mismatching personalities don't really make their interactions entertaining or interesting. So because their scenes are usually quite slow/boring, their episodes have been the least enjoyable ones for you. Maybe that's it, I don't know.

I'm disappointing too. The song that Haruka compose was very bad =/

QN episode is just awkward. Not a huge fan of the song either. Please bring back Heavens or another rival group!

lol so boring but the song is alright. i'm looking forward to the last episode where they sing a non-acapella/acoustic version of "Answer".

And yeah, QN boys aren't that fun to watch together since everyone's so mismatched. 3/4 of them looked bored and angry all the time while the other one is sunshine but has no one to share it with.

I agree with OP. Kurosaki stands out.

I think what it is is the interactions between Quartet Night and Haruka seem forced. I understand they want to get them more into it all but they are handling it wrong. Solo episodes and group episode. Everything seems awkward. It doesn't make any of it realistic etc. in my opinion. Reiji stating that they couldn't be Quartet Night without her was a head whipping reaction. They've been a group since before this. Who wrote Poison Kiss which was widely popular? They've worked as solo careers and as a group without her and were fine as a group and well known and liked. So that line was very off for me.

It also is as if they are some what messing with personalities to make it all kind of work. Which is unlikable.

I agree with everyone about QN. They are not that interesting to watch because 3/4 of them are emo and the other one is Mr. Sunshine. I prefer to watch STARISH because they actually get along and they have better personalities.

Thissss
She isn't useful for them. I would have been fine without her being involved with QN at all and just letting them make their own song. Also, Poison Kiss is by far, their best song. Most catchiest too.

Bwahahaha! That actually was kind of atrocious. Except for a couple moments, the music was disconnected and it felt all over the place. Had to lol when their hair went flying.

Huh... Poison Kiss is one of my favorites songs of the series though. (I even watched the version where the VAs performed it; hilarious but awesome.)

Here's to hoping the finale is a bam.

The song is fine, but it's just that QN doesn't suit acapella at all.

I agree with all the above comments that mentioned Poison Kiss being the best Quartet Night song. This one felt bland in comparison....

Then again, I haven't been attached to any of this season's songs. I feel like they all lack the catchy tune that the first and second season songs gave us. It's a pity, because 2000% left me on a good note.... I can't say I'll be expecting too much out of Revolutions....

Hm yeah. But I've heard some acapella before and the melody was choppy... couldn't really enjoy it. Was laughing through most of it, actually. QN can do better than that.

Yup, I noticed that from the first episode when they revealed the new OP/ED. Though there has been one or two OK songs, nothing that has left a strong impression.

As a whole I'm just really disappointed with this season. None of the songs have been that great, the character interactions are kind of painful and the story is kind of boring. I have nothing wrong with QN, but they were so dysfunctional in S2 that I had really hoped that they wouldn't be in S3 too much...boy was I wrong...

I don't know...I just don't have great expectations for this anymore, I've been let down pretty much every episode in the season. That really sucks too because I've been waiting for it since the fall season!

Obviously A-1 Pictures and crew didn't pay much attention to this season. Why? I have a stinking suspicion that it's because UtaPri is such a monster that they feel it'll sell(in Japan) no matter what. Mediocre episodes? It's still selling! Mediocre songs? It'll still sell!

-_-

And they added the stupid CGi for the ending. Awful. UtaPri was one of the only A-1 Pictures anime I actually liked and now they ruin it.

I think the biggest problem I have with this season is that I'm so accustomed to the games it's almost painful to see them so OOC. They handled Ranmaru and Camus horribly, Ai didn't get any explanations for why the hell would he exist in the first place and Reiji is charming and all, but when compared to his game self he feels... Off. I'm so angry about Ranmaru, God. His story in the games is so interesting, yet here they barely talked about it.

Also, the songs are nice and all, but I feel their quality is lower than previous seasons..

But really, I was kind of expecting this season to be lame anyway cuz I was quite disappointed with the second season and seasons 2 and 3 both have the same director....

Poor QUARTET NIGHT and these reactions on the thread...but I agree, this season is really bland and most episodes the producers aren't even trying. I do like QUARTET NIGHT a lot and the VNs they are the main characters (because the games they're featured have overall better writting than most games STARISH are main except Repeat), but when it comes down to them in the anime, they put minimal effort. If they actually bothered to expose their characters properly, I feel that this season would feel far less of a waste. Ranmaru is my favorite character of all this franchise and his episode was an insult to his character and his routes in AS and ASAS. Ai's episode was one of the most misplaced episodes I've ever watched, I'd rather they never exposed his secret at all.

Reiji and Camus got good/decent episodes for themselfs, but they are countless times better in the original source because they have proper characterization and development, in the anime they ommitted ALL of it. Ignoring ALL of Reiji's background and his issues was bad, man. At least they got his personality and chemistry with Haru good enough.
With STARISH, they gave them good episodes and some decent exposition for most of them these 2 past seasons. The fanbase of the anime obviously will like STARISH more.

This episose was really boring and the song was one of the worst of this season (can't lose to CODE TVU because it's a waste of Suwabe Junichi and while Sho is one of my favorite characters, I can't stand Shimono's singing voice).
I feel that next episode will be at least decent though because it's going to be a STARISH episode.

Initially I wasn't too thrilled about the huge focus on Quartet Night this season, but I'm actually liking what it's shaped up to be. That song was nice and despite the banter between the members (well, one sided against Rei), there's a real connection binding them now and it's the sincere passion they've gained because of Haruka. Speaking of, man she got intense on that piano.

Lol @ Ringo's bit at the end. He always cracks me up.

I agree. I hate that most fans of the show are being given a mediocre exposer to Quartet Night. All four guys are very interesting and some of my favorite characters, but because the writers just can't seem to or don't want to put as much effort into writing good episodes on each guy like they did for STARISH, Quartet Night can feel flat and dull at times.

I hate to see this group disappear from any upcoming series because of it. I really like them and I like their chemistry together. They care about each other and need each other. They are just very subtle about it.
Spending more time thinking about the fictional world than reality.

I actually like the song "Quartet Night" the best out of all QN, not poison kiss. But I lik all the QN songs anyway. As a QN fan I gotta agree I am a bit disappointed by the way this season is handling them but I'm happy because my main thing is new music! Can't wait for Music 3 to come out in January
