| It's one of those shorts where I'm really drawn to the style but without going too much into personal socio-political affiliations the ideological lens through which the story is told erks me; a bit like Mudai actually d: I think it's very fitting that the short ends with the Nighthawk dying in a physical sense but lives on in the stars with dignity and manages to keep a hold of its identity and ideals (cue Cruel Angel's Thesis). |
| Wow, I really liked it a lot. Definitely my top fav anime by Katou Ryu. I might want to see more of Miyazawa Kenji as well |

| Such a good story along with some good art. Well, At least he finally became a star he always wanted and now he was remarkable when he lived. That was one beautiful form he transformed into. I thought when he said he closed his eyes with a bloody beak, I thought he was done just like that but he opened his eyes and became great in the end. 7/10. |

| Didn't really care for the story or characters on it's own right, but I rather loved the artwork and colours. The scene where the Nighthawk flies into the stars especially was excellent. 6/10. |
