Awesome episode, for some time I doubted if this will make it into the top animes of the season but it's doing really good. This is last year's Black Bullet. I agree that this is "THIS YEARS BLACK BULLET" (lol). And that's not a good thing. Black Bullet was shit. |

| Yuu's demon contract was pretty straight-forward. Yuichi's was rather interesting, kinda. I really wanted to see Kimizuki's contract though. Easy episode. I wonder what the demon said the Yuichi after being settled down. |

| I really liked this episode as we saw the pasts of the MCs more in depth and their feelings towards their own pasts. The fights will be interesting for sure, I can't wait to see the next episode. |

Like I said, I am sad, not angry, it turned this way. First episode was absolutely great. This episode though, everything I didn't expect or want after that opening. If it changes style now and becomes better, I'll be among the ones celebrating. |
| Perhaps this TV series is starting to like it. Yu seems to come down somewhat down from the pedestal, though still too standard and the obvious reason that a little all they used to pass the test. Narrative somewhat predictable and linear; I hope there is more originality in the next episode. Drawings and animations discrete and without decreasing fearful. Beautiful soundtrack and scenery. |

| Went about as expected. Figured the girl standing on the sword in the OP would be "it". Everybody got their demon weapons. I would have liked the illusions to be more in-depth/darker/trickier. The demons didn't seem all that strong. |

| BY FAR the best episode yet. This feels like the first episode of the series where the characters actually got developed, and they got developed quite well to boot - especially Yoichi. I like the means of developing them as well; they weren't just conquering demons for cursed weapons, they were conquering their own demons, their pasts that restricted them. It's a bit cliche, but it was a cool way to go about it. And plus, I actually thought Yoichi was going to be a goner for a bit. I might be wrong, but this seems like a series that wouldn't hesitate to kill off a secondary character for the sake of plot advancement. I was touch and go with this show up to this point, but this episode gave me a fair amount of hope for the series. Good stuff. |

| Nice episode. Was interesting to see how they have to beat the demons. Ashuramaru is really cool, I like him/her? or however you will call a demon :D Yuu's sword reminds me a little bit on Ichigos Bankai sword, only difference is the green edge. I don't know what I should about what the demons said to him (10% isn't human). Barely Yoichi also managed to get his weapon. Good that Guren isn't to though and also helped Yoichi. Seem next episode we will see a new charcter and slowly the fights will begin. |

| If Yoichi was able to snap back, why would they state as if anybody possessed by demon dies, and he returned just because he wants to protect somebody. Doesn't most people want to protect family, friends or themselves then why they make it as a rule to kill possessed persons. |

| Guren was rather quick to order Yuu and Shiho to kill Yoichi. If there was a possibility of reversion, then he should have encouraged that option rather than immediate elimination. Shiho lives up to the demeanor that he projects, Yuu reaffirms that he already overcame the darkness in his heart, and Yoichi gains courage and resolve after managing to free of himself of guilt. While it was nice to see each of them confront their "inner" demon, I feel each of their scenes could have been executed in a manner that would have provided more impact. Even the moments immediately prior to Yoichi's return lacked suspense since it was obvious what the outcome would be. Yuu's demon told him that something was different about him, that something had been done to him. If the humans had also been attempting to create the Seraph of the End and they (or a subset of them) themselves are Seraphs, then Yuu's might be the secret weapon (or the enabler of it) whom they're planning to develop and prepare given his status as the MC with a secret ability. |

| Well, at least on the surface level, this episode was competent. No breaks from the dark atmosphere, brooding tone all the way through and the visions each had their previously established, visually distinct location. But it also didn't really affect me emotionally, though I guess Yoichi bawling on Yuu's shoulder was kinda funny and cute. I don't really get the cause and effect chain of the way Yuu-chan bested his demon, I guess she just likes him. We never got to see how Shihou managed to tame his demon, but it was probably by sheer force of will. And Yoichi also managed to break free and take control of the demon by, again, sheer force of will, even though the demon explicitly said that it had no respect for things such as family or friendship values. Willing something into reality is not a bad trope by itself, but this was a pretty boring execution of it. There was almost an interesting twist on the boys' trials: each demon accused their challenger of some great personal failing or hypocrisy, but it all turned out to be a mere distraction, as none of those things were really relevant to any of the boys triumphs. Those flaws also kind of seemed like ass pulls, as I haven't sensed those particular vibes from any of them. The temptation could have been much more interesting if we had seen those attitudes from the boys that the demons criticized them with, this way we don't even know if the demons were on to something or just making it all up. |

| Interesting information regarding Yuu being not human for about 10%. That would explain the first episode when Guren said "The test subject from Hyakuya, the lab which destroyed Japan, has arrived at last." Hopefully some more information regarding that event, so far it seems that Yuu was the reason for the outbreak perhaps? |

| Loved this episode. Wished they would have shown more of Kimizuki’s contract too. There’s nothing in the past. Ah I loved it!! The art & OST were brilliant. Guren is amazing I love him. MOREEEEEEE GUREN Would Mika & Yuu meet the next episode? Can’t wait to get into it, I like that they are moving away from the school setting. |

| I feel like negotiating with a demon about wanting power because he wants revenge is a bad idea. Doing something for that sole reason(even if he says its to protect) just screams betrayal. Hopefully I'm wrong... |
| I have no idea how Kimizuki managed to get out, but then again I'm not 100% sure I understand how they need to beat the demons and in Yuu's case the demon saying how he'll take control as soon as his heart wavers isn't exactly reassuring, lol. Seems like Yoichi was the one to fall victim but he managed to come back so you know, all's well that ends well. Guren again showing why he's great, even Shinoa questions his decisions. |
