 vs. Clannad Tomoya is labelled as a delinquent at his school because he is constantly late and skips classes, but he seems to have little care about how others perceive of him. Everything in his life seemed dull and unchanging until one morning he meets Nagisa Furukawa on the road to his school; he finds her muttering to herself to give her more motivation for the day. She has an odd habit of saying the names of foods she is going to eat to encourage herself. Nagisa has been sick for almost a year last year and subsequently has to repeat her third year of school. But now all her friends have graduated and she feels alone. For some reason, after hearing Nagisa talking to herself, Tomoya becomes interested and befriends her. Following this meeting, Nagisa decides to revive the school's drama club. In his attempt to help by recruiting new members, Tomoya befriends several other girls at the school, two of which have their own mysterious past. | Kanon (2006) without doubt. The serie is more emotionall than Clannad (tv serie, not the movie) which temps to be more humorious (gags, jokes, pranks etc). The Kanon serie even made me to shred tears! And I agree with Nii, Fuko was anoying from the start to the end. |

| They're both equally amazing in their own ways. Kanon 2006 was definitely more emotional. But if you take into consideration Clannd After Story (the second season of Clannad), the emotional rollercoaster that takes place hit me hard. I find Clannad to be my favorite. |
| I voted for Kanon (2006) for selfish reasons I guess. Clannad ~After Story wasn't mentioned in the voting so I'm assuming it's not included, although it would have changed my vote altogether haha. Clannad was really good but the second season is what made it epic. Kanon (2006) was very well done. ^_^ |
| i went with clannad simply because it made me laugh more....but this was definitely a tough one to decide between since both anime's are epic in their own way....but my gut instinct went with clannad on this one :P the amv's are ftw btw :) |

| If I were to simply compare both Clannad and Kanon 2006 from a technical perspective, then Clannad is, in my opinion, the superior choice. However, Kanon seemed to have something special and indescribable that evoked a lot more emotion from me than Clannad did. I guess to me, Kanon's ending felt a lot more real than Clannad (After Story)'s ending. As such, I guess I still prefer Kanon more. |

| Clannad is very awesome but Kanon is the friggin' best thing I've ever watched, no doubts here. In my opinion, though this is arguable, Kanon has the better characters, but a point with only a small room to argue is that Kanon has the better story. |

| Personally, I liked Clannad a bit more, but Kanon 2006 is still a very amazing series, and deserves the attention it gets, that's for sure. But Clannad is without my favorite series of all time. |
