| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Even though she has only appeared in maybe a handful of episodes, Yagami is probably one of my favorite characters in Maison Ikkoku alongside Godai and Kyoko. She brings a different kind of humor to the show, that is far better than anything the tenants can do. Also, it was cool to see Kyoko pissed and that tells me right there how much her relationship with Godai has progressed since the last time Yagami was seen. |

| She's the only one other than Mitaka who really challenges the couple and forces Godai to step up and be a man, and forces Kyoko to confront her feelings. |

| Yagami has to be the most clever character on this show... and the most honest. Both Kyoko and Godai can be so dull, and Mitaka is kind of a dunce too, but Yagami actually says what she's feeling and does what she really wants to do. Definitely one of the best characters, IMO. Personally, I find it hard to hate her, even though I'm of course hoping that Kyoko and Godai eventually get together (I guess?). |

That's exactly what makes her so likeable, she's very outgoing and goes with her true feelings. I wish the other characters could be just a little more like her...I'm hoping she's a permanent character and not just in this small handful of eps. |

I just want him to tell that bitch to fuck off. And then his neighbors literally steal money from him. I'm surprised Godai hasn't committed suicide yet. | People like Yagami for the contrast in personality she offers. Also because she adds some spice to the story and things are finally setting into motion. |

| Yagami makes the story advance significantly in every episode she's in. Mitaka recently tried to make the story go forward too but the running gag of the dog was just too much for him to handle. |

| I like how Ibuki being really bold and agressive towards Godai. She is really important now to force Kyoko confronts her true feelings. Ibuki is a great side character to help the development of the story. |

| Yeah I can't stand the characters in this show, they're all so frustrating and one-dimensional. I remember Ranma 1/2 having the same problem, maybe Rumiko Takahashi doesn't know how to write good secondary characters. On a more positive note the song that was playing in the cafe at the beginning was pretty catchy, does anyone know the name of it? |
| With my second time watcing MI I want to understand Yagami chan better and comments here help me with that, thank you :) First time watching I shared many commenters point of view but now I'm seeing how much she brings into the series. She may be manipulative little stalker but she also is honest how she feels about Godai san and other people around her. Every attept by her brings Godai san and Kyoko san closer together - or Kyoko san starts to see how spinless Godai san can really be :P |

| I spaced out for most of the duration of the episode since Yagama just make everything regress, Kyouko just get angry/jealous and Yuusaku is just a punchbag and make not advance to their "romance". Where's Shun! |
