| Cheesy, cliche, boring. REALLY hope it gets better. Just because he was a good pianist as a child, doesn't mean he has to keep playing just to make people happy. And the girl, who doesnt even know his name, pressuring him into playing without knowing the reason he stopped is just frustrating. I mean, who is even rooting for this girl. So annoying. |

I thought she just visiting someone... not sure If I liked their playing, but it was nice she is total opposite of me, if she is really terminally ill and trying to live to the fullest at the same time leaving a mark.. |

| I was half expecting Kousei to magically pull through and play perfectly but I'm glad they made it a bit more realistic This is not only his first time playing this piece but also his first time performing in front of an actual audience in years (as far was we know) so it makes sense that he'd fumble, especially when considering his very much unresolved trauma regarding his mom Speaking of Kousei's trauma.. the water visuals did a very effective job of capturing the anxiety Kousei had described in the previous episode. Both the music and animation have been super impressive so far |

| What happened to Kaori? Anyway, the breakthrough Arima needed ironically came from his mom. In that flashback, we see her as someone gentle and kind. This is in stark contrast to gow she became a bitter and cruel taskmaster. I wonder why her illness had changed her. A great episode! |

| What the audience understood and the so called "judges" didn't, is that their performance was the best. The 'judges' haven't a damn clue what they are talking about and often criticize the greatest artists in history due to their own arrogance. It is like when movie critics hate all the movies that are good and love all the movies that suck. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |

| This episode was intense! I was so worried what would happen to their performance, especially after Kousei stopped playing the piano. But in the end, none of that matters, because Kousei was able to momentarily surprass his trauma, and just go with Kaori's flow! Kaori really is a ray of light in Kousei deep dark ocean. Their performance might not be able to do well in the competition, but one thing is for sure: People will remember it. And if the public loves it and it stays in their heart, that's what matters the most. Many artists now have songs that, despite critics despising them, the public relates and likes them, and that's what matters in the end. BUT OH NO, KAORI, PLEASE DON'T PASS OUT! IT'S TO SOON FOR US TO BE HAVING THIS KIND OF DRAMA! |
