If you watched Episode 26, last 3 minutes, she turned around facing the "camera"( lol,jk) and smiled. The flower she was touching earlier, seems to be missing a petal also. And with the ending song still going, it shows her lying on the grassy fields, with her lifeless body. Doesn't seem to be blinking or moving...

So...?
Do you think Ein would be the person to suicide?

My thoughts:
Without Reiji, I guess Ein ( first phantom) would've suicided in that situation, since nothing was worth living for other than Reiji / her name.

Well, because of unclear ending, i'm not so sure. But, as you thought, it's possible she would've committed suicide if she was left alone without Reiji, though it's in my opinion only.

I somewhat thought that she was too happy that she was back in her home to notice Reiji die, and thats why she was lifeless like that? LIke she was so content she didnt have a care in the world type of feeling...
Well thats just my opinion

It is unclear as to whether Reiji had even died after taking a bullet. For that matter, it is difficult to determine whether Elen would commit suicide. I do not think Elen would be able to live staring at the sky everyday in Mongolian mountains.

If Reiji was killed by the lone bullet, then there is a chance that Elen may have committed suicide. However, I cannot comprehend why the former Phantom would do that instead of going after Inferno. Her abilities are top-notch; wouldn't she go after Inferno for revenge as opposed to dying in the Mongolian mountains with Reiji?

But if she continues to pursue a life like that, as Scythe Master quoted," she would be running in a spirl with no end."
If she avenged Reiji, so what?
She can still commit suicide after that><!

Elen can always take control of Inferno and lead a new life as the new leader of Inferno. I mean.. Doesn't Reiji do that in one of the visual novel endings? In the one called "From atop the Hill"?

I don't see why Elen would prefer suicide over doing that as she will be the only Phantom left. If Reiji could succeed, Elen should be able to do the same. Considering how young Elen is, there could always be a second Reiji. After all, Reiji was just a very unlucky tourist turned assassin. That's pretty much it..

I think that Inferno killed Elen, because they killed Reiji, too. If they didn't, she probably couldn't live without Reiji and killed herself.

-The world we live in is always within darkness.
-Which is why we seek light.

I think she did suicided in the end because Zwei was her only reason to live.

If it was the original game then I would say yes since their relationship was much more pronounced there (even if it hadn't been an eroge game) and she even said that they didn't need to look into her past anymore because she was satisfied as long as he was by her side. There was no shooter at the end of her path in the game though, so it was basically a happy ending. Don't know why they made these changes in the anime since the anime would had otherwise follow the Ein route very well.
