Axe fight!!!

"Are you trying to throw us off!?"

"Unless Luneberg suddenly gets a speech disorder..."

Still no dialogue from Yang.

Love it. This arc alone justifies the OVA, it's the real meat-and-potatoes as it were.

"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

This arc really feels like the series again. Not that I disliked the other arcs, but they had a differen feeling, they showed a different side. The current arc is going back to the roots. Also with all the known chaarcters :)
I probably regret this post by now.

I wonder if Yang is actually going to say anything or not. Makes me wonder if they could bring his voice actor back or not. Either way, even though I did like the previous arcs for being different, I agree that I am certainly enjoying this the most.

I didn't mind the first arch too much either, but yes, this arch definitely does the side stories justice (as well it should, seeing as how it is the main arc, and shares the name with this collection of side stories) . . .

Hmm I'm not sure how everyone else is commenting but following the Storyline of OHBS alone which is 2-6-7-9 currently being at episode 15 being the 7th story this episode was rather boring, knowing that you're talking about the 6th storyline just now which I find confusing... oh well I'll keep it with my storyline though which seems to fit more combined with Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Gaiden: Rasen Meikyuu.

Cool face-off between Schenkopf and Luneberg. Luneberg's reason for taking the recon mission was a good reveal.

Definitely agree with some of the other posters here, the tone is close to the main series and great to have focus on Schenkopp to boot.

Focus around Luneberg and his confllct  with Schekompf really makes this episode more expanded and more interesting, it really adds more layers to Luneberg as a character and makes him look and feel more than just a typical villain inside the main characters surrounding space that is the empire military
