I almost feel bad for Yoshida. I thought it was going to be a pitchers duel, but I guess that is reserved for the matchup with Nishimura. But damn, Yoshida's head sure was big.

Well I sure as hell called it a while back about Yoshida. lol

That was the reason why the original coach did not let Yoshida pitch beyond 6 innings

Oh dear, Yoshida had a horrendous meltdown didn't he ? Hehe, can't say I did not enjoy it lmao. That's what happened when the whole team relied on one man alone, specially in a big tournament like this. It's suicidal really.

Nice to see Yoshida hasn't changed at all. Especially the part of not listening to anyone. One little hit and he goes into freakout mode. Yeah Yoshida you moron, you allowed a hit, you did not anyone else. Get over it.

Revenge is sweet.

Poor Yoshida, he was only brought up so that he could be used to show just how much the team has improved. In a better work this would've worked, but painting the demon's "coaching" as something good is ridiculous; and even Yoshida's pain, and trauma, which were only briefly mentioned before, were simply lightly touched. At least it fleshed him out more, but I really feel bad for him.

He was lonely, he never felt accepted, and he wasn't able to accept his new team like they accepted him. Because their level was "low", he decided to bear the match by himself, and broke down after his calculations failed. The worst part of the episode was listening to Nishimura diminishing Yoshida as a player, calling him a simple 'copycat' as if only he were the "real deal" or a hotshot. at least he reminded me why he is so insufferable, I hope he loses soon.

The overconfident scumbag Yoshida never had a chance against Tatsuya to begin with, neither having the teamwork nor the hellish training

Yoshida had really become ballsier than before albeit in a stupid way. Spending nearly a year in Brazil does that to you I guess. He's neither the ace nor the captain yet he was controlling his team and even their coach somewhat. Ultimately to no avail because of his douchey nature.
Seriously this guy didn't take into account how much his original team could've improved since he left? I guess he'd have know way to know that they were literally training under a demon so that was slightly unfair.
Next episode seems to be focusing more on the demon coach's backstory so excited for that and also prepared for potential disappointment like last time.

Nice, finally we're rid of scumbad Yoshida, the most failed character of them all in a cast where Sasaki plays baseball and has grown much more and Nishimura who despite being the comical relief at least has more qualities as a pitcher. Can't feel sorry for a jerk who was so full of himself after profound admiration to the man he supposedly now hates and generated a conflict only he believed to be true. Then he not apologized to anyone he looked down on and let his team down after his pep talk. Sure, you could say that by being timid made him this way but I call bullcrap on that and I can say that from first hand experience. You can be timid and introverted without behaving like an asshole.

So long sucker, we probably won't be seeing you even in a recap.
