I ate Seared Tuna Tataki for the first time last night. I was a little hesitant at first because I haven't eaten much raw fish but it was actually really good; I just wish they had given me more for the price. Also I'm starting to get used to drinking green tea without sugar or anything in it. That probably doesn't sound like a big deal but here in the southeastern US I grew up drinking some pretty sweet tea. That's all I have for now but thanks for reading. :)

There are a LOT of kinds of miso out there, too. If you can find them in your area or online, you might discover some you like more than others :)

I tried miso soup again a couple of nights ago with a friend and it wasn't bad at all. It was my friend's first time having it and he loved it. Since then I've actually craved the miso soup a little (talk about a turn-around). I guess it's just one of those things you get used to like with your experience GothicLust.

Oh also I recently met up with a couple of friends and they took me to a more traditional Japanese restaurant that they frequent and I got to try a few other things: Edamame, barbequed eel (on rice like sushi), some sort of pork dumplings, and a mixture of raw tuna and other stuff (I didn't ask questions) wrapped up in a spicy seaweed (it was infused with wasabi). It was definitely a new experience.

I hated miso soup the first couple of times I had it, but it grew on me. I like it now

I had miso soup for the first time yesterday, it was... different. I live in the southeastern US though so it's a different taste than I'm used to. I hear it's pretty healthy though if it's prepared the right way so maybe I'll get around to liking it. Hope everyone is having a good week.
