The World (Indefinitely Under Construction)

<div style="text-align: center;"><em>It’s the beginning of 2010, two years since The World, which now has over ten million players, became available for purchase. The first MMORPG to be released since Pluto’s Kiss, it is still immensely popular in 2010, a hot topic amongst gamers. Unbeknownst to the players, and even the system administrators, anomalies begin to appear in the system.</em><!--center--></div> In the time-line of the .hack franchise, this role-play will initially take place during the events of AI buster, just before Orca and Balmung defeat The One Sin and become renowned as The Descendants of Fianna. It will take place, just as in the franchise, on The World's Japanese server, so give your player a Japanese name (for clarity purposes: the offline name in the application). I plan for this to unfold more like the anime than the games; in regard to the actions a character takes in The World will be similar to actions that are taken in the offline world; not as static as they are in the games. Except for the character creation process, I don’t want this to be overly complicated. You should be able to judge how effective attacks would be and how much damage you would receive by the level. If you’re unsure about something, PM me. You don’t necessarily have to have been exposed to .hack before to join this RP. However, if that’s the case, you’ll have to spend time reading the information threads and/or researching.
