Ultimate Subs-To-Get Club

Information
Since I'm such a perfectionist, particularly when it comes to watching anime in the best quality/with the best translation available, I thought I'd make this club to help others who don't know where to begin. Though this whole downloading anime thing is pretty damn illegal, everyone does it anyway so I might as well assist. Plus everytime I see someone in the forums or somewhere post something like "downloading takes too long i stream from xyz site quality is fine blah blah" I die a little inside. And we all know dying is bad! Oh and in case you weren't aware I made this club years and years ago and forgot about and never got around to making it worth anything. Since I'm now on holidays from Uni, I think it's about time I got back to this. just fyi *will add more stuff later

Note: Underwater's translation is a Funimation subs rip. The one-man show that is Underwater is some guy in either a Eastern European or Asian country who speaks English but is in an area Funimation does not hold the rights to Phantom for. So not only was he not able to watch Funimation's own streams online, but because of how Funimation came down on fansubbers for the show he had trouble getting fansubs, too. So he got the subs from somewhere and did his own releases with a HQ raw. Underwater's release is also unique in being an ordered chapter release.

Underwater's translation for the first ED isn't Funimation's though. I actually took apart the ED file and edited the subs with the Funi translation to get my own version of it.

No problem. And yeah it looks like only the RAWs of the picture dramas are available at the moment. I'll try and remember to keep an eye out and let you know if I see any groups subtitling them.

Thank you very much for the information & the link, I compared them and I think I'll go for [nekomimi] ^^

Do you know where I can get the picture dramas subbed? I searched for them a lot but couldn't find any.

Yo, I had a look into it and both are good choices, though it also depends on what you prefer.
Neko for some reason use a larger resolution (1440x810), and as such the quality isn't as good as Inferno's 1280x720 release. However Neko's editing is more concise, so the sentences flow better.
Both groups have nice styling for their text, though personally I prefer Neko's.
You can compare them yourself here - http://www.ji-hi.net/phantom/
There is also Underwater as an option for the subs. From what I can gather their translation is the best. Their video quality is roughly the same as Inferno, and the font they use isn't as good as the other two, but it's fine.
Hope this helps and doesn't just make you more indecisive haha

Hi everybody, I want to ask which subs do you recommend for "Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~"?
Is [inferno] better or [nekomimi]?
