Mahou Shoujo-tai Arusu

The similarities between these two shows seem rather obvious. Both have a strong young female lead and a highly symbolical story taking place in an imaginary world. They also share both light hearted moments and deep tragedy. One must add that "Erin" is the darker of the two and though both shows are aimed at a young audience "Erin" is clearly meant for a slightly older one than "Alice". These shows share many qualities and have very different flaws. I hope people will buy/watch these shows so that producers will be encouraged to make more animes sharing this quality and spirit. 

Story about young witches, same atmosphere, and the main character has a smiliar personality. Both are very fun to watch! :) 

Very similar in setting and style. Both are about clumsy young witch apprentices that love anything concerning magic. 

Tweeny Witches (Mahou Shoujo Tai) is a bit more stylistic than Soul Eater, and with quite a more wild story telling pattern. But what's really striking similar between the two shows, besides dealing with the topic of witches, is the art design. Especially evident in the backgrounds and the ways the cities are drawn. Honestly, this recommendation is more because of the art than the stories or characters. If you're a huge fan of straight up action shounen and not more wild storystelling, you might want to pass. 

Both involve the mc being transported to another world where the mc proceeds to annoy the other characters with their strong opinions.

The themes in both titles seem quite similar to me: Magical girls, destruction, despair, hope, and one of the girls becoming a saviour. 

Much of the similarity between these two are reflected through the titles themselves! Both are set in a realm of magic, within a (very Hogwarts-y) magical institute, and the young female leads are incredibly similar 'happy witches'. The central trio of best friends in both series are also alike. Little Witch is the lighter of the two with some great and endearing comedic moments. And, due to its short length, it does not get as much exploration of the characters or the world (both of which are utterly fascinating) as Mahou Shoujo-tai, or Tweeny Witches. At 20 episode, the latter does very well in that regard and also delves into some unexpected yet interesting themes. Both are wonderfully creative and a very enjoyable watch. read more 

The main reason I recomend these two, even though they completly are different is because the art styles have some simularities to them. 

Soreyuke! Gedou Otometai and Tweeny Witches are both about a team of witches who try to use magic to attain certain goals 

I got a similar feeling from both anime. In both anime are mahou shoujoish anime where a young girl becomes a witch; and together with their mentor/friends they have all kind of adventures in the world of magic; and often have to save their friends from evil magic. Both have medium length episodes but have a quite lot of episodes to make up for the episode duration. In Kuromajo has a duo of one old and one young witch as main characters and it mostly takes place in the real world; while Mahou Shoujotai has a trio of young witches and takes mostly place in a fantasy world. Also Kuromajo focuses more on SoL and comedy. read more 

Both of the girls in this are preteens who are growing up in their own way and go through life learning to believe in theirselves, same as their friends. Their is a magic theme to both, and the art work is in each very nice, though it should be mentioned that Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu is rather different then the norm art style wise. 

Because both enter the deep realms of fantasy never seen before, has excellent animation, characters, development and makes you have a dream to remember. 

Congratulations! You've reached the bottom of the barrel when it comes to anime about witches. Earwig and the Witch is likely dismissed for its 3DCGI animation, but its biggest is the storyline, which can be summarized as the main character wanting to learn from a witch who does not want to teach her. Tweeny Witches has even more problems from its animation (still shots when characters are talking, lack of character movements, etc), its storyline (underwhelming conclusion, lack of cohesion), and its characters (lack of character development). The series does have a promising premise and interesting art, but it has challenges that severely limits enjoyment. Having said all this, you might set your expectations low enough that the anime will be pleasantly entertaining.  read more 

Tweeny Witches and Mary and the Witch's Flower share a similar premise - a human girl stumble into a magical world where she learns family secrets and thwarts the plan of some bad guys. Tweeny Witches has many production problems that are hard to overlook, but it has interesting artwork and an ambitious story. Mary and the Witch's Flower has beautiful animation, character designs, and a fairy tale comparable to Ghibli movies. If you enjoyed Tweeny Witches then you will undoubtedly enjoy Mary and the Witch's Flower.  

Two anime with grandiose storylines about witches saving the world from destruction. Tweeny Witches is an isekai and Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene is a reverse isekai. Tweeny Witches has significant production problems (e.g., overuse of still images during dialogue scenes, lack of animation, storyline issues, etc) that will affect your enjoyment. Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene has an engaging storyline with quality animation that has not received much attention despite coming from ufotable. If you enjoyed Tweeny Witches then you will love Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene even more. 

Both are about witches, one set in our world, the other where a girl travels to another. It is about finding out who one is. 

Both are about witches, or magical girls. Both are about finding the truth of something. Both are extremely detailed, though Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu tends not to have the normal style. 

Both animes reminds me of each other as they have magic, witches and wizards. The plot may be diffrent but I think both directors want to tell you the same meanings. There is also more similarity which you can find for yourself while watching. It is worth to watch them both as they have very unique world settings and great characters. 

Both have a rather dark theme to them and while Mahou Shoujo Tai is more fantastical, even though Ayatsuri Sakon is a mystery genera, there is a small bit of this in the anime. 

While I wouldn't recomend the movie if you know nothing about Bleach, both happen to be about girls finding out the truth of something or another. A girl is rather the main heroine almost, and their is a simular vibe to the two. 

Both have simular, rather gothic art styles with some differences and they feature witches.
