Nekko

Nekko is a masterpiece blessed by Satoru Iguchi's angelic voice. You will only realize that this is a masterpiece, only if you hear and understand the lyrics of the song.

The art style, a unique choice makes it stand out from the crowd and is very endearing. Pleasing to the eye, with the dull color palette that also reflects the tone of the story in the music video. The only bright colors being used on is the child, wearing a yellow dress, bright like the sun. The child, is too innocent to understand the loss of her own mother. It's the little things in the ... child's life that make her happy. Playing with the incomplete doll her mother made with love. The child cradles and carries the incomplete doll that her mother was making, filling it with seeds of a common red flower that doesn't stand out. The common red flower seeds, that will bloom into a brighter future for the family. The child's innocence, eventually spreads infectious happiness to her grieving father as well. Reminding him, that he still has his sunshine in his life. He can move on and look forward in life with this family.

On another note, the inclusion of the dog, the incomplete doll made by the mother and the last doll made by the father later. They are all references to Chameleon MV (2022) and Glass Mado MV (2023). You will also see the teddy bear taxi driver from Glass Mado for a couple frames. This just elevates this MV to a 10/10.
