Both Devilman OVA's are similiar in story line and presentation. Animation is a little different and Go Nagai's touch is missing from Guyver, but I found myself thinking how similiar they are as I watched the Guyver series.

oldskool anime, violent and vicious as hell, both are simmilar in the armor and the explicit unscensored gore scene´s that u don´t see anymore in anime today! and both are cultclassics!

In both anime, the main protagonist has access to an armor that gives them superhuman powers to the user and enables them to battle various monster opponents. Both are dark sci-fi action-packed anime that contains a lot of blood and gore. Differences between the two is that they have different settings (Apocalypse Zero is set in a post-apocalyptic world while The Guyver is not) and Apocalypse Zero is more wacky and over the top compare to The Guyver. The Guyver also has a better story and is more serious compare to Apocalypse Zero. If you enjoy one, you may like the other as well.

Both Boah and The Guyver came out in the late 1980's with similar animation and atmosphere. In both anime, the main protagonist takes on a superpower from another life form that takes over the host and gives them superhuman powers. Both are action-packed anime, filled with violence and gore. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Both are sci-fi/action series that feature an average high school boy who inadvertently comes into contact with aliens/a secret organization, resulting in permanent super-powered changes to his body. Both series also have a good dynamic between the main characters.

Main character (Shou) finds an orb that fused physically with his body turning him into a formidable soldier called 'Guyver'. There's a corporation that wants this Guyver unit and sends out biological monsters to get it. Shou has to protect himself from this group. Both series have a similar feeling to it with graphic sequences, violence and gore

Teenage student protagonist with a cool looking armor with super powers fights evil alien monsters. Guyver is more on the gorier side tho.

Both feature main protagonists that are complete wusses who transform into monsters and fight other monsters for the good of humanity and stuff. Both have a lot of blood, violence and gore. If you like one, you might find enjoyment from the other.

These two anime are classic ultra violent 80's anime that are filled with action, blood, gore, nudity and ultra violence. In both of these anime, we have government/scientific conspiracy that involves people being used for technology and research. Both have main characters that go berserk and decide to fight the whole world towards power and justice instead of evil.

A limited number of weaponized/genetically augmented humans must defeat a seemingly endless population of engineered monsters, for the sake of humanity. Where the characters of Terra Formars are determined to exterminate highly evolved cockroaches on Mars, to stop the spread of a fatal virus plaguing earth, the MCs of Guyver stumble into a society of genetically engineered monsters, with the intent and resources to dominate humanity. (Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver is continued in Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver II)

Both titles feature a protagonist that can transform into a super powerful humanoid being and battles various opponents filled with violence, blood, and gore. The Demons in Bio Hunter have monster designs similar to the Zoanoids of The Guyver franchise. Both are action-packed anime with a dark atmosphere. Differences between the two is that The Guyver is more sci-fi while Bio Hunter is more horror. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Amon is much bloodier and has better gore, but some of the action scenes are similiar and it has the same feel to it. I would call Guyver a PG-13 version of Amon.

Both titles are sci-fi anime from the same time period (late 1980s - early 1990s), with similar art, animation, and atmosphere. In both anime, the protagonists have access to armor/suits that provide them superhuman abilities and allow them to combat evil monsters that can resemble humans. They are action-packed and entertaining to watch. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Both titles are based on sci-fi manga from the 1980's. Both are action-packed anime with blood and gore. They both focus on the main protagonist who is merged with an alien power giving him superhuman abilities. The main protagonist in both anime use their powers to fight off other evil alien monsters disguised as humans. The differences between the two is that The Guyver is more superhero oriented while Parasyte is more psychological horror. If you like, you should enjoy the other.

Both are action-packed anime and came out in a similar time period (late 1980's-early 1990's) filled with violence, blood, and gore. Both anime have similar animation, similar vibe, and a similar dark sci-fi tone. The main protagonist in both titles can obliterate their enemies with gruesome attacks and must fight against a secret organization that wants to use their power for evil. The Guyver has a better story and execution, but they are both entertaining to watch. If you like one, you may like the other.

Well, basically that's a remake but it covers a bit more of the chapters from the manga. Everything else is pretty much the same but if you want to see a better character development and more from the story you should watch this. Plus if you like the original you will also like the remake.
