Magic-dominated worlds Discrimination against non-magic users Main character non-magic users somehow are very powerful Magic academy setting Both MCs defeating foes and turning them into their allies

Both protagonists can't use magic. They rely on their physical prowess and have an unconventional ability to overcome their deficiency in magic. Both Protagonists have a similar desire to be at the top of their world for different reasons. Will wants to be the best to be with his childhood sweetheart, while Asta wants to protect his loved ones and also wants to prove that anyone despite their upbringing can reach the top. But most importantly, both are decent shows to watch

- Written by the same author - Both have the kind, sweet, underdog MC (he's kinda cute ngl) - Dungeon system, minotaur fight, several love interests - OP main heroine

School setting. Magic academy. Somehow swords are important despite the magical setting. The plot entirely revolves around a promise MC's has made to a woman. Labyrinth/Dungeon is a mysterious place where a lot of stuff happens. In the first few episodes we see teachers with disdain for MC. Also there's a rivalry with a smug pompous jerk guy who is quickly put in his place. Teachers are hiding something. MC has a singular goal on his mind.

Both series are about a boy who's unable to use magic in a world where magic is everything, so he goes to the magic school by focusing on the use of his sword mastery, which allows him to match and even surpass magic users with his sheer skill.

Both have cool fights, school setting, and main characters have similar personality and the plot is similar with competitions

bullied underdog mc at a special school for those aiming to become the strongest in the world, both have great fights and you really find yourself rooting for the main characters- MHA is definitely better though

Both are set in a magic school where the protagonist struggles with magic.

The protagonists made the promise with their childhood best friend to be the best in their occupation (Wistoria: Magia Vander. Kaiju no8: commander of the defense force). They grow up and only the friend did it and the protagonists make their best to be by their side.

Similar magic school ambience. Side/supporting characters having very similar interests. Good hearted protagonist, sometimes, lacking confidence in their own abilities.

Although this anime is in a completely different setting of "Science Fantasy", the main action also takes place in the Academy of magic. The main character does not have magical abilities, but has unique (including physical) skills that make him stronger than all magicians. From the very beginning, there are many detractors among other students, but over time the main character finds loyal friends.

Children with special abilities strive to climb the tower. Both maincharacters are following their loved one even though not having any ability. Both animes have a theme of combats even though in Kami no Tou the characters have to compete with each other rather than against a shared enemy.

Similar settings, European fairytale themes, beautiful sets and character designs, themes of working hard.

School of Magic with a world where magic is a supremacy. Characters who like to abuse magical power to cause destruction and mock the protagonist. In short: -School setting -Magic setting -Use of destructive magical power -MC with a secret power
