Party kara Tsuihou sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsu wa Saikyou ni Tsuki

Throughout his youth, unskilled healer Laust was taken advantage of by unscrupulous adventurers. Despite intensive efforts to improve himself, Laust is swindled by the members of Blades of Lightning—the first party that he joins after completing his training—and is eventually banished by its leader Margulus.

As the subject of public ridicule, Laust is not hopeful about his future prospects. However, novice adventurer Narsena unexpectedly offers to form a party with him, and he happily accepts. The duo quickly gain fame by conquering uncharted parts of the labyrinth. While there seems to be a reason behind Narsena's hasty proposal, Laust is oblivious to what it could be.

Meanwhile, Margulus fails for the second time to slay a poisonous hydra, even after enlisting the help of elite healer Lyra for the quest. Laust soon finds himself being asked to rejoin Blades of Lightning, but it is not as easy as he imagined to move on from his former comrades-in-arms despite his new path and current companion.

This anime has a lot of potential. I really enjoyed the plot, and the characters were engaging and well-developed. It left me curious enough that I’ll probably check out the light novel at some point to dive deeper into the story. If you’re someone who isn’t overly critical of every anime you watch and just enjoys experiencing new shows that bring something fresh to the table rather than rehashing the same tired tropes, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a shot. I don’t regret watching it at all—in fact, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I honestly wouldn’t mind a second season because I’m ... really invested in seeing where the story could go from here. On top of that, the art and animation were absolutely stunning, which added so much to the overall experience.

Mixed Feelings

The anime is one of those OP Main character types, and yes they are all essentially generic. So the question is should you watch this one one? And honestly I felt it wasn't bad. The rating is low at the moment but I think it deserves at least a 6 which probably gives you a good idea on what its like.

Animation is okay, nothing jarring that kicked me out of the show. Characters aren't amazing but they have at least a little personality. It meanders a bit where it just takes a some time to go anywhere and the plot is pretty simple anyone could ... work it out.

I wouldn't go out and buy it, but its better then the low score its getting, if you specifically like the OP main character genre its a good watch as a "I'm bored on the weekend with nothing to watch anime", but I wouldn't go far out of my way for it.

I'm not really a writer type of guy so bear with my lack of words.

It sucked. Nah, but it was a slump after hearing ONICHAN OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It gets to you honestly. Anyways I'm the type of guy that ALWAYS finishes. heh. So I had to finish this anime. I knew from episode 1 this was going to stunk and it did. But it was bearable and something to watch for the time being. Imagine watching the Office in the background but instead of enjoying the revisits of the Office you instead feel a pit of despair but continue watching because your are ... literally half way in already.

a solid 3.5/10.
