In a world of another planet in which only men reside, Otaru is the main character who wants to prove himself regardless of what others think of him. He accidentally encounters the marionettes who seem to have a few circuits and bolts short from all the other normal marionettes-they seem to actually think and feel. Meanwhile, evil arises that calls Otaru and the Marionettes to fight to save the world at all costs...In Brigadoon it's Humanoid Mecha meets Human...only the roles are reversed (in a way) Marin is a young girl who accidentally encounters Melan Blue, a Monomakia from a place called Brigadoon, as she  read more

- because they are three girls with different powers who accompany and take care of the protagonist boy in the day to day in the town. - because they are not that skilled with their powers. - because every day and adventure they get to know each other more and mature, in addition to strengthening friendship. - because they have no money, and what they earn is to pay off debts or misadventures. - the freshness and innocence (although Aqua is more "wicked") of the blue-haired girl. So far I have seen the first six chapters, maybe later everything will work differently.

+ Same premise. Starts as a harem, then evolves into crazy action and finally a big plot twist. + Main character is also similar. Not the typical loner of harem anime, but quite charismatic actually. + The girls also share similarities between both series. Renai Flops have 5 girls, Saber Marionette have 3, but later 3 others appear as antagonists. + The comedy is also similar, specially during the beginning and middle arcs. Latter arcs turn a bit more dramatic and emotional. + There are other points that are similar but it would lead into spoilers. + Finally, both have a satisfying ending.

Actually surprised no one recommended this before. Both animes have non-human girls fighting to protect a guy (and they all love him). Sekirei is like a more modern version of SMJ with lots of fan service.

Same drawing style, voices, music style and fun, but with a little better story. Megumi Hayashibara is in there too.

Both are Harem shows with characters very much like eachother, comedy is the basic premis but they also have their touching moments too.

The characters have many similarities and it is just as funny!

Both stories have similar history of the creation of worlds: collapse spacecrafts with humans aboard, unknown planets, etc

Hey there, if you like Fan Service, Android fighting action, Halarious Love Triangles, like Mahoromatic, then you should watch Saber Marionette J. In this series Man kind has left their home planet and now live on the planet Terra 2. The problem with this is that there are no women on this planet, but androids that look like women. Otaru soon encounters three beautiful looking Androids (aka Marionettes) named Lime, Bloodberry, and Cherry. Each one has their uniqe attitude toward life and they all love Otaru. Just like in Mahoromatic, can these Girls make Otaru a real man?
