I would give it an 8/10 because this show is very clear about what it tries to do, and it succeeds.
My first impression during episode one was "Ok, I get it, pretty neat but there's no way I'm watching more than one episode of this"
How can it be interesting to repeat the same premise over and over? They achieved it somehow.

The more I watch these kinds of shows the more I appreciate the creative challenge behind them. To completely ditch the "Hero's Journey" playbook of writing.

Where thrillers try to be thrilling, horror tries to be shocking, drama tries to be moving, etc.. This ... show tries to be endearing, and it succeeds.

The character designs are understated but very cute.
The voice performances are committed.
And the events will leave you with a warm feeling of appreciation of the simple things in life.
Whatever it is you have going on, you're probably not locked up in the dungeon of a demon castle. So if Hime gets to enjoy herself there, you can enjoy yourself as well. By watching an anime perhaps, and eating some microwaved cup noodles.

In that way, this kind of show ends up being much more profound than it tries to be.
I refuse to underestimate how difficult it must be to take such a simple idea, and somehow repeat it 20 times throughout an entire season of anime.

Mixed Feelings

It's kind of boring, the same plot everything episodes the jokes become kinda boring after 4 or 5 episodes and that's s shame ok, overall it's not as enjoyable as some people think, the characters are not very interesting outside the sword and the two girls, it maybe needs a little more of sexual humor if you know what im talking about, overall looks good and sound good but that's pretty much all ok, its nit interesting, there is no real threat and its a very simple show tbh but in guess that's ok, people liked for some reason, the manga its somehow popular and ... maybe im missing something ok dont get mad with me.

So... this was boring.

The idea itself has merit. A princess is captured and being "tortured" by demons in a (kill them with kindness) sorta way until they get the info they need out of her.

The trouble is how empty and flat the show is. Here's the format :-

Princess is in an ugly CGI prison cell, demon walks in with something nice, princess folds like a cheap suit & they're all best buds now. Repeat three time per episode.

There is no variety, the characters flat, the humor dies after the first episode because of the endless repetition.

It doesn't help that the demons don't ... act like demons and the princess is completely passive with zero sense of urgency. She doesn't even act or behave like a princess so it's not really funny when she "breaks".

At first I was going to give this a 5 and place it as mixed feelings but after a few episodes it started to feel like a punishment. Is the viewer the one meant to be tortured? Because if sure felt like it by the end.
