Similar premise of step sibling romance where protagonist's parent remarries and gains a step sister which becomes the main love interest. Then both sides take a while to understand each other well.

both the shows share 1. Atmosphere 2. Dialogue heavy 3. Nuanced character relations

Both are the stories of high schooler's attempts of figuring out what "love" the emotion means. Gimai Seikatsu is a show that mainly speaks trough visuals and lacks the kind of in-your-face dramatic scenes that Kuzu no Honkai is full of. Still the superb visual directing creates tensions that echo the drama of Kuzu no Honkai, while being very distinct in it's calmness and generally likeable side cast compared to Kuzu no Honkai emotional tornado. Both also end up being very light in any proper romance.

Both shows explore the absurd relationships the main characters end up after their divorced parents re marriage will they be brother and sister or love buds?

Besides the obvious similarities in genres and setting, both of the titles have a very similar energy in the characters' dynamics. In both titles, the characters are trying to base their actions on pragmatic calculations and they are both about understanding others and building relationships with the people around you.

Romance between stepbrother and stepsister. Pretty heavy dialogue and chill anime.

Tackles an incest story in a mature manner too, but with REAL incest instead. And if that wasn't taboo enough for you, it's an agegap romance on top of it.

Very similar banter between characters in both shows, cohabitation, the girl cooks for the guy, etc. Gimai Seikatsu has a more serious tone and is basically a more dramatic version of Angel Next Door

A teenage girl who decides not to feel after what happened to her in the past meets a boy who decides to teach her about her own value as a person.

Similarities in: -Music/Soundtrack -Characters -Pacing -Emotions/Character development Days with My Stepsister and The Garden of Words both have protagonists who are able to “alleviate the worries hidden in their hearts just by being with each other.” Days with My Stepsister is unassumingly deep, slow, lush, and emotional- just as The Garden of Words is. The soundtrack for both is gorgeous and striking! You’ll notice great foley sound effects in both- like the sound of a mug moving against the palm of MC’s hand, or echoing voices as the MC’s are walking under and underpass.
