Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su

First of all, both anime share a common theme, and that theme is video games. Both anime have action, adventure and fantasy genres, and both main characters are high school VRMMO players. Compared to the Sword Art Online anime, SLF's plot is a bit more conventional, but it's also quite unusual. If you have watched SAO and liked it, SLF is the anime for you, but if you liked SLF, I recommend SAO. Finally, I would like to add that when I think about what SLF has that SAO doesn't have, I think of comedy and more action. 

Simply 2 very pleasant anime about full dive VR MMORPG worlds. Meanwhile SAO is more focused on survival of the characters and some drama connected to it, Shangri-La Frontier is focusing more on jokes and stories of individual characters than world story at first place. 

A very very good anime which uses the principle of virtual reality and which is modeled on the very real NPCs but otherwise it still remains quite different 

Both has the same background , that is the mc became the strongest player acknowledged by everyone and both have the realistic gaming style. 

Both mc are playing this new popular VR Game, both mc's have unintentionally gotten a "reputation" making almost every players know their name, for better or for worst 👀. And mcs seems to get very lucky when it comes to "stumbling" upon stuff. The only difference is that the mc in ShangriLa isn't as op as maple. Yet👀 

Shangri-La frontier mentions trash games and Kyuukyoku full dive RPG is the ultimate trash game. The full dive game is so hilariously trash and I think more people will understand how hilarious Kyuukyoku anime is after watching Shangri-La and hopefully the rating will go up Kyuukyoku. Both animes are good pairs for eachother because both topics are the same (about trash gaming), but each anime go about it in different ways. Shangri-La shows the experience with a good game and Full dive show the experience with a trash game. The comedy is very similar too.  

Main character's full-dive virtual game is also KUSO game 

They both have with someone playing an MMORPG game from the beginning with op skills at gaming. The worlds give off similar vibes although Quanzhi Gaoshou is more focused on esports  

Both series' protags are initially weak but exploit the system in their own ways to get stronger and beat strong opponents. Both series use video game systems extensively: SLF is an actual game and has strong and relatable game mechanics, while SL uses the tried and true video-game-dialog magic system typically seen in fantasy reincarnation shows. Shangri-la Frontier focuses more on character- and world-building than Solo Leveling, while the latter focuses more on the power fantasy angle.
