Otonari ni Ginga

Ichirou Kuga has suddenly found himself taking on the responsibility of caring for his two younger siblings after their father's untimely death. To make ends meet, Ichirou rents out rooms in the apartment complex he inherited and works full-time as a shoujo manga artist. However, his manga sales are low, his assistants have recently left, and deadlines are fast approaching.

As stress threatens to overtake Ichirou, salvation comes in the form of an extremely competent novice artist, Shiori Goshiki, who becomes his new assistant. With her skills, they are able to tide over the difficult situation, and things begin looking up. But in a bizarre accident, a supernatural experience unfolds between Ichirou and Shirou, which leads her to declare them engaged.

With this seemingly innocuous action upending his life, Ichirou now has to manage his new and peculiar relationship with the mysterious girl, all the while following his own passion and fulfilling the duties that rest on his shoulders.

This was a really great experience this anime relates to people who's are a bit older and have to take care of their younger siblings I feel

like this anime Bring's amazing example on what to do when your siblings are too clingy. Overall, this anime was fantastic it really got me

to an emotion state where I haven't experience in a really long time and by watching this anime, has brought me back, i really recommend this type of anime because it really is very gentle for the soul and helps with depression but it's not very good if your single ................................................................

Mixed Feelings

Don't mix up my personal rating with the recommendation. I put mixed feeling even though I personally enjoyed the series.

Good mature romances are a bit rarer compared to the high school aged ones so it's nice to see one pop up that is also not half bad.
The premise is interesting where the romance also has to balance the MC being a parental guardian. Overall the story is well written and the concept is fun watching a couple learn to love. The romance actually starts pretty early.

Drama wise, at least what the first season covers is pretty minimal and is cleared up fast compared to ... the younger geared toward anime which is absolutely wonderful. It takes a toll watching shows where they drag out the drama that could have been solved if they talked for 5 minutes.

Animation wise it really is on the weaker side and you can see where they cut corners and have lower effort. I will say the animation for when it's supposed to be emotional, they do a good job.

Music is fine, there's a few fine songs but nothing really sticks out even with the opening and ending.

The main reason I would say I have mixed feeling about this series is, you really have to enjoy romance anime/manga or romance series in general. Nothing super crazy happens and it is a relatively slow paced show so if you aren't particularity fond of these types of shows it might be a hit or miss. If you do then give this one a shot and you may not be disappointed and you may even want to share it with friends who also enjoy this type of entertainment. If you also want something to watch that is relaxing or tug at your romantic heartstrings then I would recommend.

A Galaxy Next Door – A Bland Cosmic Snore
A Galaxy Next Door had all the ingredients to be a charming, whimsical romance with a sprinkle of supernatural intrigue. Instead, it serves up a lukewarm bowl of reheated tropes, lifeless characters, and a plot so predictable it feels like a chore to finish.

Characters? More Like Cardboard Cutouts.
Protagonist Ichiro Kuga is the epitome of generic: a struggling mangaka with zero personality beyond "nice guy" and "stressed artist." Enter Goshiki Shiori, the mysterious girl-next-door with supernatural ties. Instead of intrigue, she embodies every bland "manic pixie dream girl" cliché, devoid of depth or believable emotion. Their "romance" lacks ... chemistry, relying on forced scenarios and awkward dialogue that never sparks genuine connection. Supporting characters are even worse—forgettable, one-note props that exist solely to pad runtime.

Plot: A Black Hole of Originality.
The story plods along with all the excitement of a grocery list. The supernatural twist—Shiori’s celestial lineage—feels tacked on, a lazy excuse to inject "fantasy" into a plot that otherwise recycles every rom-com trope from the past decade. Conflicts resolve themselves with minimal effort, stakes are nonexistent, and the pacing alternates between glacial and rushed. By episode 3, you’ll already guess the ending, making the remaining episodes an exercise in tedium.

Visuals and Sound: Just… Fine.
Even the animation and soundtrack fail to salvage this mess. While the art isn’t bad, it’s painfully average—vibrant colors can’t mask stiff character movements and uninspired backgrounds. The soundtrack is equally forgettable, blending into the void of generic acoustic tracks and tinkly piano melodies.

Final Thoughts:
A Galaxy Next Door isn’t offensively bad—it’s just painfully mediocre. It squanders its premise on lifeless execution, offering nothing new to a genre already saturated with better stories. If you crave a celestial romance, rewatch Your Name or Weathering With You. This "Galaxy" is one you’ll forget before the credits roll.
