Historical arranged marriages in difficult circumstances
report Recommended by ToshiroNoAyame
• Both are coming of age story which centre around a low esteem female lead. Both the story focuses on MC's growth and there is lots of emotional and heartwarming event throughout the series. • Both have beautiful art and animation. Kinda give similar vibes. • My happy marriage is more romance oriented where else Violet Evergarden is episodic and doesn't focuses much on romance until the very end of the series (movie).

both anime have the female protag forced into an arranged marriage to men of high standing with very cool personalities one over a debt and the other because of political reasons both have lead that suffer great trauma one being abandoned by her mother a the age of 5 and the other treated like servant after her mother died (and her father married his mistress) and when she was found not to have magical abilities both find their future husband not as cool and uncaring as they publicly appear and both growth in strength both magical and mentally

Somewhat slowburn romance with a supernatural twist - the time periods differ but both have complicated superpowered family dynamics.

Both anime are extremely similar right down to plot & setting. Only differences I can think of is that the protagonist for Tong Ling Fei is more courageous than the protag in My Happy Marriage and TLF has more comedy than MHM. Tong Ling Fei is basically the Chinese version of this anime. I highly recommend both of them so if you're a fan of either please consider checking the other out!

Male leads both take good care of the main girl and are nurturing and protective. They're both warriors with serious personalities. They both help the main girl heal from trauma and move forward.

In this anime, the main characters try in every possible way to take care of each other, support, pamper and protect. I think it's perfect because according to the plot they are burnt.

- By far the most important similarity: Both get straight to the point with their romances, not wasting important development time with characters struggling to give confessions. - Neither one turns into a messy love polygon, instead making it unapologetically obvious from episode 1 who the main couple is going to be. - Although YagaKimi is GL and Kekkon features a hetero couple, they are still quite similar in that one of the characters is far more in love than the other to begin with, and the main girls gradually learn how to love their partners. - Both have a strong atmosphere of “you are the only one  read more

what both stories share in common is that both main couple in their respective anime will have to deal with creepy dark creatures for their country.

Much like Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon, Kimi ni Todoke is a coming-of-age romance anime. Both have a shy female lead that has lived through some type of abuse and, as a result, has given up on finding a place where they're accepted. While both KnT and WnSnK mostly focus on the relationship between the main character and her love interest, KnT also incorporates the importance of friendship into its plotline. They're both quite wholesomely dramatic animes with similar soft vibes that make your protective instincts kick in.

- MC has few feelings or don't express them much. They have a very similar energy in my opinion, if you like one you'll likely like the other. - MC has to engage with someone who has an high rank, which make one part of the plot similar.

Both feature strong female leads , determined women who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Both anime explores themes of love, loss, and hope. I also love Haikara-san and was recommended My happy marriage because a friend said they were similar

Both are pretty shows about a maligned protagonist struggling to love herself in the face of mistreatment by those around her.

similar characters and plot guy mc supporting female mc

Heroine has supernatural ability, while the male MC is handsome guy and has a high status. They both are in couple relationship.

Two fantasy romances with supernatural traits in them and MC girls who think they don't deserve happiness at all but are taken in by someone who gives them happiness. They both contain light-hearted moments amidst the serious drama in their plots/settings and the couples go through obstacles to get to happiness. Main difference is that Niehime has humans and anthropomorphic characters in plus has more combat/violence in its more action scenes.

Both of these shows are similar and akin to Romaniticed Historical Asian period pieces that really reflect on the sensibilities of Eastern Asian History & Culture. I say that reservably; as Saiunkoku Monogatari can be interpreted and seen in a lens of a Chinese Imperial Era literature or even akin to Korean Joseon Period era literature. In this case, My Happy Marriage is set in a period akin to the Meiji Era. All play into the following important factors: They revolve around marriage arrangements that serve as a means to deal with political and family-clan issues. Characters from both shows learn to deal with the tribulations  read more

The Garden of Words is similar theme, which is romance and drama, with my happy marriage. This anime and my happy marriage characters show their emotions with non verbal communication technique. Non-verbal communication show emotions deeper than verbal communication. This way is more realistic and convincing.

• Both are historical romantic drama anime. • In both the anime the female lead is an orphan and have a traumatic past. • In both the anime the male lead is from higher class and fall in love with a lower class individual. • Both the anime have lots of emotional moments and quite melodramatic from time to time.
