Both include a master and a magical/fighting girl who make a couple and fight to survive and be the last ones standing.

both are about girls fighting and they have some comedy in it. Also the fighting women can transform.

Both are extremly funny anime. Mainly focusing on the comedy and less on the romance aspect. Both have a perverted and loveable main characters.

Instead of aliens there are cans that turn into girls, and they form a relationship similar to that of a master and a slave. There is a serious plot that is going on above all the romance and comedy to keep the story moving. Has a very similar feel to it and if you like one you should like the other.

Girl comes out of a strange object with super powers Boy conveniently lives alone and girl stays with him Ecchi elements galore Plenty more to list but you get the idea.

Battles to find the best Maiden/Akikan (for differents reasons) and everyone have a master. In the final of the two series appears a strongest enemy who has no master and start the real battle.

-Both animes are about receiving or meeting a partner (coincidence or not) to fight in a survival game, and aim to defeat the other partnerships to win the game. -Both are romance and ecchi

The mood is completely different, but they both have the master/servant thing, a competition to reach an objective, magic, romance, super powers, and fights. Also, both are harem anime with a tsundere in them.

Akikan! is about a boy who bought a can of melon soda from a vending machine.... the can suddenly transforms into a girl, a so called 'Akikan'. It is less ecchi than chobits and a bit more childish but it is about a boy surrounded by girls like chobits.

Both male leads are perverts. Harem Both male leads usually get smacked around or beaten up by one of the females for acting perverted. Both male leads have super powered female living with them. Both of the male leads have a female friend since childhood and who for some reason is attracted to the male lead.

+Both looks lot similar. +Both got many girls around Main male character. +Both got similar character design. +Both got many simple scenes, and fights.

Both series are heavily cliched and feel like an inferior version of another show - Sword for Truth feels like a vastly inferior version of Ninja Scroll, and Akikan feels like a rip-off of Sekirei.

Both mc are perverts but really like mg, both mg are not normal, although Akikan is more on comedy but u will like the other if u like one.
report Recommended by Roonyddevil
it features a group of quirky and likable characters who engage in fun and entertaining activities together. It also has a similar sense of humor and heartwarming moments that make it a great watch.

Both mc are living a normal high school life until they accidentally summon a supernatural girl. The girls enroll at their schools and ofcourse lots of problems comes up. Mc's are good for nothing and considered weird by their peers, they're both perverts who wants to find a cute girlfriend. They're actually really good people in the end tho. They both fall for respective girls. Very similiar art, setting and humour. Mc's look and act almost the same.

Both animes are about material things like limited edition products and japanese style food. Akikan has a weird theme around the coolness of soda cans and Dagashi Kashi centers around candy products. Both also have comedic value.

Main character-wise they are very similar; hot blooded and of course very perverted. Both Kouichi and Kakeru both find themselves surrounded by females Although there are no mechs in Akkikan!

Both shows have the main male character accidentally activating a girl by a kiss. The only difference is that steel angel kurumi has girls that are androids while akikan has girls that are cans

Guy meets girl while he's naked in his house, girl isnt human, she has supernatural powers and some baggage, the guy has human girls who like him but he barely notices.

Both are ecchis with more storyline than others of the same genre
report Recommended by Dr_Jan_Itor
Both are hilarious, silly comedies that involve non-human beings (respectively alien frogs & human-like cans). Also, Najimi strongly reminds of Momoka: both have short blue hair, have some kind of split personality, and are in love with the male protagonist.
report Recommended by RenaPsychoKiller
Random, wacky and fun. Both have a young, blonde female lead (Excel/Melon), a dumb pervert (Iwata/Kakeru) and a sexually twisted megane teacher/scientist (Gojo Shiouji/Hidehiko Otoya). Both are enjoyable and underrated series which mustn’t be taken seriously.

Reborn as a Vending Machine features a man who died and was reincarnated as a vending machine and Akikan has canned drinks from vending machines (or sometimes not) that turn into girls. Same concept but reversed.

Both are rather unique ecchis, unlike most others

Both have similar scenes, for example, in the pool or in the amusement park. The atmosphere is also similar. Both series are comedies and romances with elements of harem.

The male leads are idiots. Their logic defies common sense. The female leads are both out on a mission. Melon needs to defeat the Aluminum Akikans, and Togame is out to find the swords. Both shows are action/comedies. Akikan is more comedic while Katanagatari has more action. Also, the main two characters of each show are attracted to each other. Both shows feature weird, abstract art. Heck, they're practically the same show!

Both include a boy, who has no luck with girls, and a magical girl, that comes to this loser and their story begins.
