Similar: - blonde twins - one of the twins is sweet, one of the twins is smart - revenge plot for mother - orphaned kids - who is the father?? - friend received bad parenting different: - the vibe (mainstream vs. indie) - entertainment industry vs. town life - work/colleagues vs. school/families - gender of twins - relationship between twins - only one of the series has reincarnation

Both're strange and particularly mysterious small town murder mysteries with very similar tones to one another. JoJo is obviously a lot more than that, but what part 4 in particular is at its core, is very similar to Migi to Dali.

Despite the difference in genres, they seem to target a mature audience who loves quirky surreal humor. Two overlooked gems from the 2023 fall season.

Both about kids working against adults who hide their true nature and intentions, with twists and revelations

Both anime are unapologetic in their depiction of the human psyche no matter how degenerate Each with their unique styles that contribute to the uncanny vibe of their respective shows Though Migi & Dali has a more comidic approach with it's storytelling

Both animes have mystery and thrill elements. Both have whole story adapted and wrapped up in 13 episodes, i.e., you can watch them in one go and be satisfied with the end!

These shows are actually pretty similar. Both are centred around twins (of a sense in one, and literally in the other), have mysterious settings, where the main characters don't know who to trust and seem to have never learned anything about how to act within their societies. They very much differ in content (one somewhat absurdist, while the other supernatural), but I think, if you like one of these titles, you have a high probability of liking the other. MD might take a few episodes to get into, and the same goes for SH, but give them time, they may surprise you.

Migi to Dali has the same mysterious and sometimes heavy and disturbing atmosphere as Junji Itou's work. Watching the anime, I really got the impression that it was inspired by Junji Itou's work. It's one of my favourite anime of this autumn.

Both anime share a similar unsettling vibe, both anime involve characters with severe mental illness leading to irrational violent behavior, both anime are intended for a mature audience and have psychological elements prevalent throughout the story

both series have covert investigation, sneaking around, bluffing around as its central theme with many suspenseful scenes

In addition to the obvious reason of belonging to the same author, both series have protagonists who parody perfection in a comical and witty way.

Characters within new family in order to achieve a certain goal, both containing comedy in. SxF has lots of action in whereas MtD is suspense mystery instead but they both have their funny and light-hearted moments amidst some serious scenes, MtD leaning more to this compared to SxF. SxF's plot regards to a fake family being formed to prevent a war happening whereas MtD has twins being adopted in order to figure out in the shadows who murdered their mother. As both series goes on, the MCs start changing a bit and do get closer to their new family members despite it being a façade.

Both of them: 1. Feature a blonde, attractive, charismatic, and angsty teenage male that had a harsh childhood 2. Feature similar themes of love and revenge 3. Feature a black-haired Japanese boy named Eiji 4. Are fast-paced psychological thrillers that take place in realistic settings but often contain exaggerated elements 5. Contain references to J.D. Salinger and his books

Ok here me out: - both have this kind of situation based humour where the stakes seem really high but in reality they're not cause it's a comedy and the situation they're on could never exist irl - for both shows, I started for the comedy but stayed for the plot and the characters

If you like the concept of twins, pretty young blonde boy with blue eyes, and twisted personality due to a traumatising orphaned childhood, you should watch this next. Both series are about chasing someone down and filled with mysteries and crazy happenings revealed throughout the story.
